This isn't just poor communication, it's dismissive & exclusionary. Irish pubs have a long tradition of being lively, family-friendly spaces, especially on St. Patrick's Day. This felt like the opposite: inconsistent, inauthentic, & frankly, a bit childist.
Disappointing, especially as long-time customers of the original location & someone who grew up celebrating here…even as a kid!
Pourquoi tant d'anglais dans ce pub. Même la télé est à TSN & non pas à TVA Spourts ou RDS. Pourquoi assimiler la majorité francophone ?

Beau Irish pub avec grand choix de bière & de repas typiques. On se croirait en voyage! En plus, le personnel est sympathique & de bon conseil. J'ai adoré mon expérience!
Good pub & often good live music. But compared to the other Mckibbins not good for live sports EPL football(soccer) & Rugby. For an Irish pub I think this is fairly important & would be great to have on the south shore.
Amazing table service at McKibbin's Irish Pub! Farah was funny, thoughtful, & a total joy. She even remembered my exact drink order from my last visit - truly impressive.
It's rare to come across service that makes you feel remembered rather than just served, & Farah does exactly that. She made our evening feel relaxed, special, & fun.

Une soirée bien excitante de notre côté. Un band exceptionnel qui jouait des chansons assez connues pour nous faire chanter & danser pour une soirée au grand complet. Rencontre de 2 serveurs exceptionnels, frede & oli, des serveurs socials mais surtout d'un charme & charisme exceptionnels qui nous ont fait adoré notre soirée. Je recommande ce pub pour ceux qui veulent une expérience bien mieux que tous bars à proximité.
Pas le meilleur accueil. L'hôtesse a voulus nous assignéun petite tanle caché derrière un mur tandis qu'il y avait plein d'autre tables , non réservées ds l'espace ouverte. Nous avons demandé une premfois, elle à refusé. C'est qd nous avons menacé de quitter, qu'elle a nous a répondu que nous pouvons alors choisir la table de notre choix. Par la suite , étant un amateur de Guinness, j'attendais avec impatience ma chère pinte. Quelle déception. Ce pub ne fait vraiment pas honneur à cette bière culte . La température de service était complètement inadéquat. A mon avis la température devait être environ de 4 degrés ce qui est bcp trop froid pour une stout. Pour goûter la pleine saveur de cette bière elle doit être servis à minimum 6 degrés. Très décevant. Le ragoût était délicieux mais le burgrr Bison très moyen. La décoration chaleureuse & l'ambiance également. Par contre, rien a voir avec un veritable pub Irlandais . Ressemble plutôt à un attrape'touriste' a l'américaine.

This place is the hidden gem of the dix30 area. Reasonably priced, unlike everything else in the area. The pub brings together a perfect ambience matched with a great & friendly staff, & the nachos are to die for.
I've been back several times, & it never disappoints. On our most recent visit we were served by Damien. He brought the experience to a 11/10, with his positive energy & great service. Will definitely be back again!

Fantastic Irish pub with a warm, welcoming atmosphere!! The staff are friendly, the pints 🍺 are poured perfectly & the food is hearty & delicious 😋. The live music adds to the charm, making it the perfect spot for a fun & enjoyable night out. Highly recommend it!!
Absolutely loved the Irish stew! 🥘 The portion size was generous - I even had enough to take some home. The prices were outstanding & very reasonable for the quality of the food. The bangers & mash were also delicious! The only thing I would've loved to see is some Irish music playing - the current playlist didn't quite give off that cozy pub vibe.
Belle expérience mis à part d'un point. La bouffe est bonne, la bière aussi & le personnel est fin. Pour un pub, l'ambiance est tuée par le son de la musique. Le volume est insoutenable, la musique bonne mais trop forte. Il est particulièrement difficile de parler avec le volume.
Dès l'arrivée nous sommes reçu avec le sourire. Le service impeccable & la bouffe excellente ( c'est un pub alors rien d'extravagant). On y retournera sûrement.

Dès que vous franchissez la porte du McKibbins au Quartier Dix30, vous avez l'impression d'entrer dans un monde parallèle où l'Irlande & le Québec ont fusionné pour créer un univers de bonheur brassicole & gastronomique. Les boiseries sombres, l'éclairage tamisé & l'odeur envoûtante du malt grillé donnent le ton : ici, on ne vient pas juste pour manger, on vient vivre une épopée culinaire & sociale.

La carte des bières est si généreuse qu'on pourrait passer la soirée à juste lire le menu… & on ne regretterait pas une seconde. Entre les classiques irlandais comme la Guinness servie à la perfection (avec cette mousse onctueuse qui ferait pleurer un moine trappiste) & les microbrasseries locales choisies avec amour, chaque gorgée est une déclaration d'amour au houblon. Le verre arrive toujours à température idéale, la mousse tient comme un nuage crémeux, & chaque bière a sa propre petite histoire racontée par un serveur qui connaît ses produits comme un sommelier connaît ses grands crus.

Le burger McKibbins ? Probablement une invention divine. Pain brioché parfaitement doré, viande juteuse, fromage fondant, & frites croustillantes comme si elles avaient été bénies par le dieu de la patate. Le fish & chips ? Un chef-d'oeuvre crousti-moelleux avec une panure dorée à souhait & un poisson d'une tendreté qui défie la gravité. & ne me lancez même pas sur la poutine irlandaise… une création qui pourrait résoudre les conflits mondiaux. Les portions sont généreuses au point que vous vous demandez si la cuisine a mal compris la commande, mais non : ici, la générosité est une philosophie.

Le McKibbins, ce n'est pas juste un resto, c'est un théâtre de la convivialité. Les soirées avec musique live transforment l'endroit en un festival improvisé, où la guitare, le violon & les voix se mélangent aux rires & aux conversations. On se surprend à discuter avec des inconnus à la table d'à côté comme si on se connaissait depuis le secondaire. Même un lundi soir pluvieux, l'endroit pulse d'une énergie chaleureuse qui vous fait oublier l'heure (& parfois le lendemain matin…).

Les serveurs & serveuses ne sont pas juste du personnel : ce sont des ambassadeurs de la bonne humeur. Toujours un sourire, toujours une recommandation juste, toujours présents au bon moment pour remplir un verre vide ou vous convaincre d'essayer le dessert maison. Vous avez l'impression qu'ils sont heureux de vous voir, & ce n'est pas du marketing - c'est sincère.

Le Pub McKibbins au Dix30 n'est pas seulement un endroit pour manger & boire. C'est un temple de la camaraderie, une ambassade de l'Irlande au coeur de Brossard, & un point de repère pour tous ceux qui croient que la vie est trop courte pour boire de la bière tiède ou manger des repas tristes.
Si vous cherchez un endroit où chaque visite est une fête, où chaque assiette raconte une histoire, & où chaque bière est un voyage, ne cherchez plus : le McKibbins est votre nouvelle maison. & bonne chance pour partir avant la fermeture…
A lively slice of Ireland & a crowd that feels like old friends. The beer list is broad enough to make even the pickiest pint snob happy. My fish & chips took a bit of a swim in the fryer, but the burger looked like it had its act together-definitely the smarter order. All in all, a top-notch pub for pints & music.
Horrible ending to our night, false accusations by their staff...
My friends & I went to this pub as a portion of our celebrating one of their birthdays this evening. For context I & my friends are in our late 30s to early 40s, & we had beforehand gone to another establishment but the temperature was unbearable as they did not have air conditioning so we sought out an alternative & chose Mckibbin's.
Funnily enough, Mckibbin's didn't have AC either but we ended up staying for a few drinks regardless, mostly to appreciate the live music which was quite good. The waitress was good as well, quick & friendly, we had a minor snafu with a couple of the drinks which were not to our liking but the bar graceously replaced them which is yet another solid point in their favor.
Why, you might ask in that case, would I be rating this establishment one star then? Well it all comes down to how we ultimately exited the establishment. We all paid our tab at the table, & finished up the rest of our drinks, still enjoying the music playing. It was a great band by the way, I just have to say. We all ended up leaving after 10-15 minutes & all seemed well, except it was only once we're outside that I found out that apparently one of our group who had gone to the bathroom had been victim of a rather apauling scenario.
He had been in the stall for 10 or so minutes (he was doing what he had to do .. sometimes nature calls), & was interrupted by a knock on his stall only to hear the bouncer tell him he had to pay & get out of the bar immediately. The bouncer aparrently had heard him'sniffing' his nose in the stall, & found that to be appropriate reason enough to accuse him of doing cocaine in the stall, & to force him out of the bar. Of course it did not cross his mind to think that perhaps it had something to do with the bar being at approximately 29 degrees, perhaps my friend simply had a stuffy nose, or perhaps he had allergies, no he heard a few sniffles & that was all he needed to throw out allegations.
Needless to say, I'm completely & utterly disgusted having learned this. Ultimately we left & let things be, we weren't about to bust back in there & cause disruption for no reason we were already on our way out anyway, but to think that this man, employed by this establishment, could be so outlandishly shortsighted is a true injustice. Suffice to say, my friend has never done cocaine in his life, we quite literally made jokes about this man's accusations the whole ride home. Still, I will never go back to this place, because I shudder to think of myself in his situation & what I might do, how it would make me feel to be on the bad end of this kind of person's shortsighted & unfounded accusations.
That said, I urge anyone & everyone to beware of the types of people this establishment has working under its payroll. Most of their staff (everyone else in-fact) were excellent, but unfortunately it only takes one completely rotten apple to ruin the bunch.
