Maraq soup was a starter for me & the broth had intense lamb flavor . For the main course we took Fahsa lamb & Mogalgal beef. Both dishes were served with rice & were super delisious. Khobaz with kefir style dip was a nice surprise. We finished the evening with adan chai. top notch value/price ratio. & staff was very nice & carring! Would recommend to my friends & visit again.
Our order : Mandi , Maraqa . bamia, all came with rice & bread ..I like the taste of food with appetizers they brought ( hot sauce , yogurt)
😋😋
I was really hungry then i decided to come to this place
I ordered mazbi lamb & chicken mandi
Firstly never go with owner's suggestion to eat at amy restaurant
He asked me to take chicken mandi
& for the rice half smoked & half tomato rice
The rice is tasteless & meat & chicken is very very salty you can't eat
I also tried marag soup they added a lot of turmeric powder which changed the taste
I have never seen mandi without mayonnaise or garlic sauce nor any nuts on the top
They served with yogurt & tomato soup
Honestly speaking disgusting taste
Very pricy food with not a good taste
Waste of time & money
The lamb broth was suuuper good, & so was the lamb with bone in it. The rice to me was just lacking a bit of something, I couldn't finish it on its own.
Mazbi Restaurant serves some of the best mandi & grilled dishes I've ever had. The rice was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, & the meat was tender, juicy, & delicious. We tried the lamb mandi, chicken mandi, & grilled chicken - all were excellent & full of authentic Arabic taste.
The restaurant was clean, comfortable, & the food came out fresh & hot. The portions were generous & worth the price.
Special thanks to Abdullah for his kind & professional service - he was very friendly & made sure everything was perfect for us.
Highly recommend Mazbi Restaurant to anyone who loves real Middle Eastern food! 🍗🍛🔥
The food was delicious! We tried both the chicken & lamb mandi, & enjoyed both plates. The meat was tender & flavorful, & the rice was perfectly seasoned. Definitely recommend it!
Tasty food, but low ratio of meat to rice / bread. Feels expensive for the decor & meat portions. Lamb was tende
The overall food was good but I have some complaints regarding the portion sizes. We got one lamb dish & one chicken & I believe the quantity of the meat was too little for the price. They gave us quite a bit of rice which was nice but it felt like they wanted us to fill up on that instead of striking a balance between the meat & rice.
I gave 4 stars because the food was tasty & service was great but still disappointed with the portions.
I had the delicious lamb fahsa with khobs bread & the rice they served. A very unique kind of food & experience. The owner was also gracious enough to treat us to some Fata Bilmoze & chai adani which were both unreal & very tasty. Highly recommend!!
First time trying Yemeni food. We ordered the Mogalgal (spiced, grilled meat) & Mazbi Chicken (chicken on rice). Both were delicious, packed with bold spices. We also got sides like the sambosas & shafoot (yogurt based thingy, tastes herby) which were decent additions. Ended with kunafa-sweet, cheesy, & perfectly crispy. So good.
Tender, good chicken but didn't like the rice not a real mandi rice & no taste of the grilled chicken in it, its seem they cooked it separately not in the same pot & that's not the way of how mandi cooked!, the recipe of rice like ( Bokhari rice not a mandi ), the meat sambosa also not wow missing something.
The portion is good. The food is clean but didn't enjoy it because of the rice.
My order was take away
Amazing food & customer service! The owner is such a sweet lady❤?. Loved her vibe & food was soo delicious😋. She gave my mom complimentary cake as it was mother's Day ✨. Also for our left overs she packed us extra rice! Very generous.
Will be returning soon! Thank you for your amazing service ✨❤?
Family owned restaurant. Friendly staff & welcoming. We tried their chicken & lamb mazbi. We also tried their new mandi rice.
All were 10/10, really delicious & flavourful! Will definitely come back again!
Quality food & authentic flavors. Highly recommend Mazbi Restaurant. The staff is very friendly & accommodating. We had the beef dish & it was divine, the rice & bread were delicious.
Really loved the flavor of the Mazbi Lamb it was my favorite. The Mandi chicken was very tender & fell off of the bone. The rice was super flavorful & overall everything was perfect for lunch.
I appreciated the tenderness of the lamb, but overall, this experience was disappointing. The bread served was not the right type for Fahsa, & providing only a small portion for the entire dish was inappropriate. The rice was overly spiced, overwhelming the flavor, & the prices were far too high for the quality offered. The presentation & the dishware were quite underwhelming. I was excited to find a Yemeni restaurant in Montreal, but I left wishing I hadn't visited. That said, the service was friendly.
Absolutely exceptional food! The incredibly tender & succulent chicken paired with the flavorful rice was truly outstanding. Plus, the live music was absolutely fantastic.
The food is ok. There is nothing to rave about. Service is good. My rice was cold. & they are very stingy on yougurt & salad. They give samples in very small plastic containers. The food is very dry. Needs sauce or something next to it. For foreigners, it might be good. But it's average at best.
Last minute visit to Montreal to see the eclipse & found this restaurant after visiting friends. The restaurant was packed however they found a table for us within a few minutes (they ask that you come back at the time they specify so you don't hover over the people who are eating which I appreciate)..Lamb mandi & foul were very good. Some of the best tasting Yemeni rice I have had & the meat was very flavourful & tender. Not sure if the bread is authentic. Chai was a lovely warm hug & the cheese kunafe was nice.
Really loved the food we had here (wasn't a fan of the cheese sambosa but that is personal taste.) The lamb was amazing, & I highly recommend upgrading your rice with the cripsy onion, almonds & raisins. It's incredible.
