The price is $25.99 on the website. & we got billed $27.99 we asked the staff & manager came was so rude to us & said this all for $2 sorry it's not for $2 it's about respecting the clients & updating your website so we know the accurate price. We called in advance to inquire if substitutions could be made & we're told yes, no problem. Once we got there, the place was beautiful, & we were seated quickly, although when trying to make said mentioned substitution, it was indeed a problem (no surface level tobiko). We were told we would have to order full rolls in order for them not to add tobiko on top .
The food itself was amazing & tasted fresh, no complaints there.
Had a hard time getting a waiter & often had to flag one down ourselves as the service request button on the tablet is defective or is being ignored.
Due to the fact we were given double portions for the rolls not topped with tobiko,we had a few left overs in the end & were then reprimanded like children by one of the wait staff even though we were okay with paying & taking whatever we hadn't been able to finish, which kind of soured the experience in the end.
Not sure if we would drive the distance to go back again.View more

Great place to eat with a big group. The food isn't at the same level as say, Maiko, but it's great for an All you can eat place (& a lot more affordable). I love being able to order whenever I want on the devices they give you. Also, their ice creams are amazing.View more

Extremely busy restaurant despite being in a relatively low traffic area. I highly suggest you reserve a table in advance or show up when they open (though expect a line nonetheless).
As mentioned in other reviews, the service is excellent & you'll be shocked at how quickly the food comes out & the plates are picked up once empty. Watch out though that in such a busy atmosphere, you might get food or drinks that you never ordered, so be sure to take mental note to avoid any extra charges.
The food is pretty good, but it's still your standard fare when it comes to'all you can eat' style sushi restaurants that you can find across all of Montreal. I also appreciated the fact that restaurants like these have modernized the ordering process by going digital & not relying on pen & paper.View more

Edit: No more lunch, only dinner. Weekend dinner is $40.99+tax & tip.
Went for Friday Lunch (16.99). Quick & great service despite being so busy. Unlike other ayce places that put extra salt in everything, matsuno didnt do that. My new fav ayce place to go to. Would definitely recommend.View more
