We love to take the fried chicken combo & replace the rice for japchae. The cream onion sauce changed from what it used to be & it's even better! The pork bone soup is one meal we love during the winter season.
The service is great & the workers there are very kind :)View more
They have the best korean fried chicken ever! Juicy, crispy, & well seasoned fried chicken that awakens the glutton that lies within. I highly recommend their creamy onion fried chicken! The sauce is absolutely divine. I could put their creamy onion sauce on anything if they sold it in a bottle! They also do two types of fried chicken specials: boneless & bone-in chicken that comes with a soda of choice, fries/rice (respectfully), salad, fried dumplings & japchae (korean glass noodles). Their gamjatang is very delicious as well! It's full of meat & they give you a nice dipping sauce that pairs well with the pork. I also like that the rice comes fresh in a hot steel pot. Overall, it is one of my favourite korean restaurants to eat at. Honestly their prices are extremely reasonable & the portions are very generous. The food is delicious & the korean auntie who is the waitress there is always very sweet. Give Matjip a try, you won't regret it!View more
Food was subpar. The chicken was not crispy, & the sweet & spicy sauce was not the right type of sweetness & spice. I would rather walk down to Matjip instead. They have wayyyy better chicken & more reasonable prices for what you actually get.View more
The vegetable bibimpab & the miso soup was delicious. The sauce comes on the side so you can control how much you want to add which is appreciated. The tofu soup was good too. The servers are welcoming. The prices are great.View more
They're super busy, once they got your order it's not a long wait for the food to come, we love the boneless fried chicken combo it very generous portions including fries , 2 fried veggies dumpling , japchae & 3 different sauces ( my favourite were garlic soy & onion cream) everything was deliciousView more
Best fried chicken in Montreal! The white onion sauce is absolutely tasty so as the sweet & sour sauce.View more
I was sent here haphazardly from a friend wanting me to try Korean Fried Chicken. So glad we found this place. Miso soup with a homey delicious flavour. Dumplings (both veg & çhicken) were fried but not oily & the pastry is quite thin. Filling was good as well. The rolled rice cakes (not sure how else to describe this) were really a surprise in terms of its texture. It was really nice. The spicy pork dish with all the toppings & mixes was quite good as well. We finished with this since it was the spiciest. The fried chicken was AMAZING. Really delicious , moist chicken , crunchy exterior, & delicious sauces. Great service & was happy to see a almost family vibe in the back. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We'll be backView more
It’s been a while since I ordered chicken last time & it’s quite disappointing.
I ordered chicken combo but I could barely see & taste the sauce. & chicken was all small pieces with less meat but thick greasy batter. Even all the side dish portion was quite stingy & poor!
However their service was great!View more
The food is delicious & the staff is so nice & generous with the portions. I absolutely love this place! One of my restaurant to go. The fried chicken with creamy onion sauce & the tteokbokki with the cheese is soo good. I definitely recommend this place for korean food.

Fantastic food with a spicy flare. Fried chicken could have used a little more sauce, but the ttaebokki more than compensated for it. It was 10/10 & a must try!View more
