Amazing. I ordered the black sesame matcha with oat milk & it sooo good. The matcha was rich & very green which is always good. It was not overly sweet or bitter & the service was also great. The atmosphere was very nice & quiet.

If you've been searching for the ultimate matcha spot in Montreal, Matcha Haüs Atelier is the absolute best!! Everything is made in-house & you can really taste the smooth, rich, & authentic Japanese matcha. There is no artificial sweetness or flavour you may get from other places. Every sip is perfectly balanced & you can really taste the premium quality shine. I was lucky enough to meet the owners & learn she lived in Japan to learn all the proper techniques. It's truly like visiting Japan in Montreal. The entire staff is friendly & knowledgeable with their menu. The vibe of the place is so fun! Great music playing while you enjoy the cute vibe of the place. If you are craving some matcha, this is a must-visit destination!

Great staff, great people, small but very intimate atmosphere near the heart of the old port. The cafe has that comfortable feel with that chic look urban vibes! & the matcha drinks tastes very rich & flavorful! Definitely would recommend to check it out!

Hands down the best matcha in Montreal!
You can truly taste the difference it's authentic, high quality matcha sourced from Japan, not the overly sweet or artificial kind you find at many places. Every drink is smooth, rich, & perfectly balanced. On top of that, the staff are incredibly kind & welcoming, & the owner is so warm & passionate about what they do. You can really tell they care about both the quality of their matcha & their customers. Highly recommend to any matcha lover ❤?

Easily one of my favourite places in Montreal. I've been back three times since returning from Toronto, & this place has not disappointed once.

The owner is incredible. Bubbly, warm, & genuinely the heart & soul of the space. You feel like you're in someone's home, & I loved being able to chat with her & ask questions about everything she's built here.

Whatever they did to the black sesame paste recipe, they got it right. The first time I tried it, it was great but slightly too thick. The new version is absolutely incredible. A keeper.

The cookies are absolutely incredible. My favourite is the dark chocolate one, so rich & deeply dark it is truly divine. & everything here is made in house, the black sesame paste, the syrups, the lemonade, the cookies & pastries. That level of care shows in every single sip & bite.

Their drinks are the Birkin bags of matcha. Pure luxury, opulence, beauty, & coziness all in one cup.

I'll be honest, I don't usually write reviews or stop to take pictures. My friend is the one who normally writes them, & she has already reviewed this place herself. She's the one who pushed me to finally put my thoughts down, & I'm glad she did. This place deserves it. There's something about being inside this old historical building that gives you a New York City energy, right here in Montreal.

It's hard to believe they've only been open three weeks. I even made a point of stopping in for the Matcha & Music event on Saturday before heading to Ottawa for a meeting.

This place needs to be listed with Tourism Montreal. & given that the mayor of Montreal is herself a minority woman, she needs to come through & give Matcha Haüs Atelier the attention & recognition it deserves.

Bravo to this beautiful Matcha Haüs Atelier. It truly is a workshop of luxury, opulence, beauty, & coziness. Black-owned, woman-owned, & Montreal's matcha gem. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would.
