Marven's est perçu comme une institution montréalaise de cuisine grecque, un restaurant familial de Parc Extension où les portions généreuses et la valeur des plats restent constantes, l'ambiance chaleureuse et conviviale et le service rapide et attentif sont souvent cités en point fort. Les calamars frits et les côtelettes d'agneau, le souvlaki et les plats de steak grillé, accompagnés de pita et de salade grecque avec tzatziki maison, reviennent fréquemment comme des classiques du menu, tout comme la sauce secrète qui ajoute une touche appréciée. Bien que l'enthousiasme soit majoritaire, la fréquentation peut générer des files d'attente, surtout le week-end, et l'établissement fonctionne en grande partie en espèces avec un distributeur sur place; ce n'est pas idéal pour tous, et quelques critiques signalent des améliorations possibles au niveau de l'organisation en période d'affluence ou du confort. Dans l'ensemble, l'expérience reste chaleureuse et rassurante, caractérisée par des portions généreuses et des plats bien travaillés qui en font une destination régulière pour ceux qui recherchent de la nourriture grecque authentique et abordable dans une ambiance familiale.
Marven's is hands down the best Greek restaurant I've been to! Been coming from Ottawa especially to eat here for the past 30 years very consistent, staff treats us like family. Service is fast, staff very courteous & food is AMAZING! Rib steak, calamari & lamb chops are the best I've had, their house sauce is great, authentic food amazing flavours.
Classic Greek restaurant in Montreal. The fried calamari appetizer is very good & is enough to feed 4 people. I had the pork souvlaki. It was good but nothing extraordinary. I've had better souvlaki elsewhere. The complimentary bread was also not great. My friends ordered the lamb which was very good. Potato house fries are good as well. The rice & salad were average. Service was nice & fast. There are better Greek restaurants in Montreal in the plateau area but overall not a bad choice.

One of the best Greek restaurants in the heart of Montreal. Best souvlaki pita wrap! Highly recommend their lamb & chicken souvlaki followed by their fried calamari.
Holy, this place was very fast! The service was great, food came out quick. It's been a few years since I last came here -- the atmosphere is nice with the new updates. We ordered the calamari plate, the baby back ribs & the steak. The salad to start with was very filling we had the greek salad each. The steak with medium rare was cooked to perfection & the ribs were pretty good. In my opinion the rice was a bit bland & they give a lot of fries. Very filling & worth if you're looking for quantity & quality food.

Contrary to most of Greek restaurants in Montreal, their price is not high, the portions are really generous, their staff are so attentive & fast, & the quality of food is amazing! I have visited this place multiple times, & each time I really enjoyed my experience!
Some weird recipes of traditional Greek food. No musaka, no Ouzo, no Metaxa, no Mythos, ... Great waiters, prices are really reasonable, great atmosphere, not fully crowded, fast service, tasty food...
Best Greek restaurant in the Montreal area for sure! Everything is tasty & fresh. The portions are very big! They only take cash so you should think of withdrawing some before, but there's an ATM in the basement of the restaurant. Also it's a first come first sit kind of place, so during the busy times you're gonna have to wait, but the wait is worth! 5 stars to this place for the quality of the food & the great service!
If you grew up in the Montreal area, you know Marven's & the amazing staff ALWAYS delivers on their taste & friendly service. The ONLY reason it's missing 1 star even after their renovations is because of the A/C. If you get a chance to visit Marven's, here are the basics you gotta order: Ribsteak, Lamb chops & calamari. Please do yourselves the favor & take it with the greek salad. Thank you Marven's for the years of supplying us with the exceptional experience!

The best Calamaris in town.
One of the best Greek restaurant, the food in very good, the service is fast.
Must look before ordering Lamb Chops. Sometimes they are nice & big, sometimes very small & not worth to order.
The steak is very good, nice, big & juicy. the only thing I do not like about this plate is the mushrooms. Mushrooms are ''sautés'', not fried & that is the way they cook the mushroom, deep fried. You just don't do that.
But I still recommend this place.
