Review Summary

Marouch is described as a warm, authentic Lebanese spot that feels like a family home, with friendly staff, generous portions, and dishes that taste true to the homeland. The reviews celebrate the Lebanese breakfast and a range of classics like foul, manakeesh, shakshouka, fatteh, and labneh, noting especially flavorful, fresh food and good value for portions. The atmosphere is welcoming and simple, with a focus on hospitality, though some comments point to modest decor and a sometimes crowded space. Service is consistently described as attentive and cheerful, with staff making guests feel at home and well looked after. A few notes mention higher prices or occasional issues with cleanliness or a cash only policy, but these do not overshadow the overall impression of an authentic, comforting Lebanese experience worth returning to for tasty food and a warm vibe.

Delicious food, friendly service, & great portions.

This is the best place for a traditional à la libanaise expérience. I always take friends to enjoy the fresh & flavours food. Tea served hot & salads included in every meal. A Laval gem!

Every time I go to Marouch, I leave with my heart & belly full. From the moment you walk in, it's that warm, authentic Lebanese vibe - Foul, Fat-Teh, Man'ousheh, the works - all freshly made & full of flavor.

The staff are so kind & attentive, always ready with a smile (& some sweet tea) that makes you feel like you belong. The place feels simple, no frills, but that's exactly what makes it real.

Portions are generous, prices are fair, & the food? Truly reminds me of home. Everything tasted fresh, & each dish had its own charm. I couldn't even finish everything - but that's a good thing when it means there was just so much good stuff.

Marouch is one of those spots you go to when you want food that's honest, genuine, & soul-warming. Highly recommend - especially if you're craving something Lebanese, flavorful, & made with care.

The service was impeccable, the lady who served us was so sweet & helpful. The food was amazing, really reminded me of Lebanon & not to mention the tea that comes with the food was great. The Arabic music added to the comfortable atmosphere & the prices are great.

The family is friendly & nice with the kids.
The food is normal but I can't say its testy. Tea is free. the tables are small, there is no space to put all the dishes on the table so its not convenient at all.
But the main concern is the cleanliness, the toilet is dirty as well as the spoons & the forks, table are also not cleaned well, no one is wearing gloves from the staff, they need extra effort on this point. When you decide to go ask for disposal cups & spoons.

Good vegetarian options; nice salads n the Lebanese pizza they had was nice as well. They make some good black tea with lemon & honey; appreciated. Simple, not expensive & good food.
The owner is extremely friendly & makes it a point to know regular visitors. Takes the extra effort to make the dishes with any particular likings remembered (for example I prefer more spices, hotter & a light flavor of lemon on top of the balila & he remembers).

Food is delicious. The medium sized portions are enough for 4 people. We were explained that it can feed just 1 OR max 2 people. (Order & judge for yourself).. based on that we ordered way too much & obviously it came up to be more than expected. The manaish came out uncooked (Cheese melted but dough was still half raw). The complimentary tea is very very nice & generous. I had to wait to pay in order for the lady at the cashier to finish her small talk with a previous customer. I stood for 3-4 mns just looking at her to acknowledge me, & she did by saying just a minute & proceeded to continue her conversation & met the customers friend…. lastly any business that puts an atm machine in their business & takes cash only & tells you to withdraw from the machine that has $3-$4 in fees, not cool..

I'd like to share my honest experience with breakfast at this place. Service-wise, it was good. We were welcomed politely, though seating was limited due to some guests having reservations. Despite that, they kindly asked us to wait a little while they cleaned a table for us. Shortly after, a gentleman greeted us, & we were served a delicious cup of tea. They also brought out a plate of vegetables & olives. Surprisingly, the green olives were tasty, even though I typically don't like green olives-they were sweet, not bitter. I ordered Fatteh, a dish of foul, & a cheese Manoushe. I was eagerly anticipating the Fatteh, as I had been craving it, but unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. It lacked salt & had a strange taste, possibly due to the chickpea water. The foul also needed more lemon & salt, which I had to add myself. On the bright side, the Manoushe was large & delicious. One downside that I dislike not just here but at most Arab restaurants is that they don't accept credit or debit cards. They have an ATM inside the restaurant to withdraw cash, which I find inconvenient. So, make sure to bring cash if you plan to have breakfast there. The prices also seem a bit high-$12 for a Manoushe is overpriced. I hope this review helps others who are considering visiting this restaurant!

Crowded & noisy. Food is fine & we liked it. The free tea they serve at the beginning is horrible, bad cups & bad taste needs to change. They didn't accept visa nor debit. They insisted on cash. No receipt was given when we asked for it. I couldn't claim the expenses to my company. Won't go back.

What a delightful authentic Lebanese breakfast. As close to real authentic home-cooked Lebanese (like when my best friend's mom cooks for us) Family run & such a warm vibe & atmosphere. They are passionate about good service & they clearly care about their customers' experience. I know dinner food but not breakfast & Rajhat was so kind & excited to teach us. Definitely recommend for foodies. Especially the Fateh Matthew! The simple decor is well superseded by the food quality & warm customer service. Reading the 1-star reviews.. it can only be competitors who can't provide such high quality food & service. It is what it is I guess. A Lebanese pearl hidden in Chomedy! Tell Ahmed I sent you!

Best restaurant for authentic Middle Eastern breakfast. You are immediately greeted with tea & a big smile, a true home-like atmosphere. Owner & his family are very welcoming & kind. The food is always fresh & delicious & portions are very generous. Definitely hits the spot!

Hands down the best Lebanese fatteh, hummus in Quebec. The food is served with tea, a side of andalos pita & a plate of raw vegetables (onions, tomatoes, olives, cucumbers, menthe & a pepper). We also got a side of foul & an omlette. Unfortunately I wasn't able to try the zaatar bread because the ovens close around 1pm. Overall great experience, worth the drive from Montreal.

Avoid: Went as a group & reserved. No more menu items or mint leaves. We had two children & while we served tea we asked for water for the children. We were told to buy bottles of water or juices. For 14$ labneh & 18$ manouché for example, I think asking for glasses of water for children & being denied was in poor taste. While the food that was available was good, I recommend going elsewhere.

Don't even know where to begin!
The food, wow!!! My friend treated me here & we ordered the meal for 2-3 people. It's so filling & so healthy! Their Humus is THE BEST hands down. They give you unlimited refills of tea, which is soooooo perfectly brewed. I had Fattah for the first time & I am in love!
The service & atmosphere is amazing, as I walked out i realized, the whole while in there it was as if I was in Lebanon! The friendliness, the care, the smiles & above all the feeling of being a guest rather than a custome
