Very friendly & efficient ladies working the counter! The sandwiches were fresh & delicious, the bread had a crispy exterior yet soft interior that paired well with the crunchy veggies & soft meat. Also reasonably priced at $6.95 each. They have a great variety of tasty che (ba mau, sam bo luong, suong sa hot luu & another kind I believe) & layered pandan jelly (there's no specific labels so it's a little hard to identify the products sometimes) + their iced coffee is strong enough to wake you up (& not too sweet). Overall, have been going to this place a few times & it's always been a good experience, would definitely recommend!!
Meilleur Bahmi à Montréal 100%. Je viens ici de temps en temps lorsque je suis de passage a Jean Talon sinon c'est un lieu incontournable à ne pas manquer.

This is one of the best bun bo hue in town! This location has a food area that also service viet subs & the soup & the other half is a small asian grocery store. They are fast & food was very tasty. The bun bo hue at this location has the perfect amount of heat if you looking for a nice spicy soup thats not your typical pho!
Whenever I visit Montreal, this place is a must go for us. The bread is fresh, slightly crunchy on the outside & soft on the inside. Ingredients are all very fresh. The ladies take good care assembling each sandwich & evenly distributing the ingredients. Taste is unique, & is moreish. I don't know exactly what it is, probably their sauce or pate but it is so darn good! I haven't found a better place in Toronto than this. On the pricier side, but still highly recommended if you love banh mi.

A foodie experience unlike no other, sandwiches rich in flavour & taste, & staff warm & friendly. Even their store is full of amazing selections of various imported items. Would definitely come back again & recommend others to try as-well
I love Marché Hungphat, been going there for years. Best bahn mi in town, although I would say bread texture & ingredient dispersion throughout sandwich is inconsistent.
Très bon, mais une personne à dépasser moi & la dame en avant de moi alors à la place de prendre 5 min pour recevoir mon banh-mi, ça en a pris au moins 15, car la personne qui nous a dépasser en a commandé une douzaine…
Finally! I think I've found the best & cheapest bun bo Hue (at $12.50 +tax) in Montreal. Made to order with a very robust broth, ample sliced beef shank, cha lua sausage, & optional pork hock (I opted to replace it with extra bean sprouts), perfectly chewy bun noodles, & abundant toppings of herbs + thinly sliced onions. The photo shows only half of what I received in my order.
They have two vegetarian banh-mi options, seasoned tofu & mushrooms; both were also excellent & priced at $6.50 each. There are many meat banh-mi options & several soup noodles, including bun rieu.
Despite the never-ending line, service was efficient & friendly. This is primarily a take-out & grocery store, with one table & 4 chairs. They have reasonably priced bubble teas, che desserts, & other prepared Vietnamese treats. A true neighborhood gem.
Super yummy & friendly Vietnamese Banh Mi & Vietnamese shop on Saint Denis St. in Montreal.
This place was recommended to me by a friend who had recently travelled to Montreal & it certainly didn't disappoint. The little shop is set up as part Asian snacks, quick take out meals (i.e. Salad rolls, banh cuon, spring rolls), order at the counter meals (i.e. Banh mi, pho) & then Asian drinks to go (i.e. Iced Vietnamese coffee, bubble tea). Basically, it's a one stop Vietnamese yum yum food shop. It definitely had a small family owned vibe.
My immediate response upon entering Marche Hung Phat was that I wanted to eat & try everything! I ended up picking up some vegetarian spring rolls, banh cuon, 2 banh mi subs & 2 Vietnamese coffees. I really loved that Marche Hung Phat had vegetarian options - spring rolls & 2 different types for banh mi subs. The gentleman at the counter was helpful & friendly & lady behind the counter was quick to make our subs.
Since the shop is small & is set up partly as a convenience store, there are no tables or dine in spots (at least not that I noticed). We ended up eating back at our hotel & the banh mi's certainly didn't disappoint. The buns were fresh & the subs were delicious, same with the rolls & the banh cuon.
If you're in the area & need a Vietnamese food fix, please stop by & check out this great little place!
