Fantastic restaurant with great food & service! I went here for brunch on a Saturday & had an excellent souvlaki pita plate. The fries were good, the salad was good (although was maybe a bit too heavy on the tomatoes); & the pita was excellent. I would highly recommend this place!
Nous sommes arrives vers 22h, ils étaient en train de fermer. Mais la cuisine nous a donné un repas bien fait. Les serveurs nettoyaient & ils n'ont jamais essayer de nous pousser vers la sortie
Great ambience. Tried out lamb chops, chicken brochettes, souvlaki, chicken pita, Greek salad, fried cheese, calamari & everything was made to perfection! They were out of filet mignon.
Staff was friendy! Food was served on time! Would definitely recommend!
The food here is undeniably tasty, but I couldn't help but wish for a bit more seasoning to really elevate the flavors. Additionally, it's worth noting that the prices are on the higher side. Overall, a delicious experience but a tad pricey for what you get.

I called & asked to speak to the owner because the donor plates that we received were half empty. When I go to Marathons on sources, I am able to order to small donor plates for my kids, & there is plenty of food. When we order from here, I always have to spend more money & order the large & the plates still come half empty when I called & tried to speak to the owner, he actually hung up on me the worst customer service ever & it's really too bad that they are associated to the other marathons. Their portions are so skimpy, & their service is awful.
In the past, I've enjoyed many meals here. Saturday I & mom went for a meal. Immediately we noticed something was off. Not one familiar face. We are regulars. The waiter was very very loud unnecessarily so. Mom found him pushy. When the food arrived I immediately noticed that the tomato & salad looked like they'd been plated hours ago, the portion size was a shock about 25-30% less than we were accustomed to. When I brought it to the staff's attention I was told they are training new people in the kitchen who don't yet have a handle on the portion size, no apology & attempt to satisfy the customer. I asked the hostess on the way out & my suspicion is correct, it has new owners, who have done possibly irreparable damage to the goodwill of this restaurant already.
And the owner said I was the first person to ever say that the portions are really tiny. Stay away from this restaurant. Terrible disgusting attitude. Customer service is definitely not a priority.
Our group of seven had a confirmed telephone reservation for 8:20PM on Friday night. Upon arrival, the hostess acknowledged our reservation but simply added our name to the very long list of walk-ins. After 45 minutes of waiting, while many other parties were seated, the answer was simply wait in line. The manager (owner) was unapologetic & arrogantly suggested that we should expect to wait. We felt that they simply accepted our reservation to get us into the restaurant but had no intention of honoring the commitment. The manager (owner) had no interest in remedying the situation. We left.
One of my favourite souvlaki place to eat!
The service is excellent & really fast!
The food is amazing & fresh everytime!
The portions are phenomenal
My boyfriend & i usually take a trio of chicken pita with sides of salad marathon & fries + another chicken pita so we can share the salad & fries for 2 & it fills us up every time!
The place is always clean & the servers are really nice! :)
i have an 90 year old frail parent who I try to take out weekly to dine with friends. We have visited multiple restaurants in Montreal from the most exclusive to local neighbourhood bistros. Not one has ever refused my request to allow my mom to order from the children's menu as she is unable to eat a large meal & lives in a long-term care setting so does not require left-overs to take home, until we went to Marathon's this evening. The manager would not even give me the courtesy of listening to my explanation. This definitely my FIRST & LAST visit to this restaurant. Also the food was exceedingly salty & not particularly tasty.
I understand your point quite well. But what I do not understand is why you simply did not order a full meal and shared it with your guest. It would have been much easier and I am sure your guest would have appreciated it. Give it another chance. It is a good restaurant with generous portions. And if you do not feel like having a big plate portion, why not order a few appetizers and share?
Marathon is my first choice when I crave for Greek food. One thing I hope is that the main course dishes should come with tzatziki (without extra cost). At Marathon u have to order it separately.
