Not the same food anymore, I ordered gyro forget it I feel like I eat shawerma, not the same meat too salty too much cut corners, with it I eat Greek salad 4 cucumber 2 olives couple slices of onions & 1 very thin slice of cheese the rest tomato & potatoes they reduced too much before was perfect portion in the plate, I think son took over & not the same food anymore
We ordered from this restaurant today. The plates we got were soooo good. Generous portions, great prices. The quality of food was amazing. Enough tzatziki sauce on our pitas. & the salads, wow. Tomato slices big & juicy. Enough dressing. Delivery time was good too. Will definitely order from there again! Thank you for making delicious food!
Hands down the BEST souvlaki I have ever had! It's not a secret that my favourite meal is chicken, rice & salad & this was next level. The meat was cooked absolutely perfectly. We ordered a spare skewer of pork which was so tender! The Marathon salad dressing was delicious as was the rice. We also ordered the tzatziki which came with this beautifully toasted pita drizzled with olive oil & Greek seasoning. Hubby had the pork gyro which was massive! My plate was huge & I could barely finish it. I can see why this place has been open for so many years; it's a gem & I look forward to returning!
Group of 3. Dinner at 530ish. Right from walking in the door greeted immediately. Seated. Water to table. Service is amazing. We all ordered the chicken souvlaki platter. 2 with 1 skewer, 1 with 2 skewers. Was a big plate of food that comes with rice, potatoes & salad. All the ingredients were fresh. Highly recommend this place if you are in Laval & have a craving for Greek Food. 3 ate very well for $70 including tip.
Too many carbohydrates - french fries + rice + pita! 😂 But everything tasted so good 😋👍. Of course, it depends on what you order - they also have healthy options like vegetable salad. Just a tip: ask for the dressing on the side next time so you can control how much to use 😉.
The chocolate cake was delicious 🍫🍰, & the sangria was amazing 😍🍷! My husband & I even got a little tipsy 🤪😌. Overall, great food & a fun dining experience!
This marathons & marathons express is the BEST! I came back from my trip craving marathons!! there was a small misunderstanding with my order & they agreed to exchange it , drove back & finally I got the right order & it tasted amazing, fresh, I also love there tzatziki & salad dressing I'm craving it every single day. First time I ate there was over 20yrs ago, they are one of most popular restaurants in Laval as they are known for the amazing greek salad, dressings & meats!
Great Greek Chicken Gyro plate with delicious Marathon Salad & crispy fries. You cannot go wrong with a Large plate of Chicken Gyro. Good portion of chicken.

This was one of the best meals I had in Montreal. The service was so quick we got our food in less than 10 minutes & the restaurant was super busy. The only down side is that there is hardly any parking- we found a spot but I have no idea where everyone else parked. Also the prices were super reasonable. We got two meals with salads & drinks for $40 USD.
This place has not changed in like 30 years - & that's a good thing. Still, for my money, the best tzatiki in town. Portions are ginormous, it's an old school Laval Greek family restaurant. Parking is a bit of a pain. Service is fine, though could do without the annoyed look when asking for modifications. Also free refills on the sift drinks would be appreciated. The pitas, salads & pikilia are all fantastic.
EDIT The prices have gone up from 12,75$ to 20$ for the souvlaki pita plate & the quality has downgraded. Tiny piece of feta (today it was 2mm thick) less vinaigrette sauce, less black olives, etc even the candy at the end. We used to come often but we cannot afford to come as often & we now share a plate & buy a second pita. .......... This is our comfort food. Delicious greek food, affordable (which is rare nowadays) & quick service. I always have the souvlaki (pork) plate with Marathon salad & half & half (rice/potatoes). If you prefer to have the greek salad, the tomatoes are so fresh & tasty, you won't be disappointed. The only downsides to the Laval location are the parking (very limited) & the A/C is too cold (we're always freezing).
Tout est bon chez Marathon. On ne se trompe pas à commander le gyro pita, la brochette de poulet, le tzatziki & le spanakopita... & que dire de la salade Marathon! Elle est unique & délicieuse. Ce que j'aime par dessus tout chez Marathon c'est leur accueil & leur sourire. Autant l'hôtesse que les hommes en cuisine. Tout le monde vous salue & vous sourie. Une denrée rare de nos jours, mais qui fait la différence pour moi.
