I used to only get the caesar because nobody could mess up a caesar, but i recently tried the habibi & WOW. I went two days later again (today) to get another one because it was just too good. However, today I noticed that the habibi was unavailable & called to discover that they were out of sweet potato. I asked if I could get it & replace the sweet potato with extra tomatoes. When I went to pick it up, they told me they actually found more sweet potato & gave me extra tomato. Safe to say I will be getting more soon.
J'adore Mandy's & celui sur Sherbrooke est mon préféré. Un must une fois par mois minimum.
Let me start by saying I ADORE Mandy's & it's always hard to resist when I go by one. I've taken visitors to the city in the Old Port, I've ordered it online, all the things. But the music is simply waaaaaaaayyyyy too loud :( I was at the Westmount location today & the staff was very kind & regretful about not being able to change the volume (they apparently don't have access). I don't understand this trend of having everywhere constantly having aggressive music that makes it feel like you're in a club. This is a restaurant; it should be relaxing! The decor here is so good, & the food delicious, why ruin it with music so loud you can't work or talk? Even with my earphones in, it was loud. On top of it, in this day & age where we have more awareness of noise sensitivities/neurodivergence & given we are bombarded every day with stimuli, it would be amazing to see Mandy's be forward thinking with this & be one of those places that provide an aural respite
Going to Mandy's is an enjoyable experience everytime. It has a variety of delicious, colourful & healthy salads, & the atmosphere is beautiful by being both trendy yet classic.
Always a great time at Mandy's, the staff at this location is friendly.
Be prepared to have a jacket on hand though, because the AC is on blast.
One word.'Wow.'
This place was awesome! Maybe I'm a little behind on the times since it was my first time trying it recently but now I know what I've been missing out on. Before eating a delicious salad from Mandys I had always thought'why open a salad restaurant' but now? Well now, let's just say I want them to open another one across the street from my house!!!!
Vibes? Immaculate !
Food? Amazing!!
Employees? Super cool!!!!
All that to say i fricking loved my experience at Mandys & I rarely feel the need to put reviews but they freaking deserve it.
My girlfriend had her heart set on some shoe shopping & a visit to a'salad place' in downtown Montreal. I went along for the ride, not expecting much-after all, I had poutine on the brain, not greens. But after a chilly afternoon running around the city with her, even I had to admit I was starting to get hungry.
We ended up at Mandy's, & while I didn't think I'd find anything that fit my very carnivorous preferences, a mushroom soup on the menu caught my eye. When I found out I could add chicken, that sealed the deal. I also grabbed a natural soda that, to my surprise, wasn't packed with corn syrup like most of what we get back home in the States.
The soup was absolutely delicious-rich, hearty, & warming in a way I wasn't expecting from a place known for salads. My girlfriend's salad, on the other hand, was massive-fresh, loaded with toppings, & so big she had to take half of it back to the hotel.
The staff were super friendly, & while the interior was fairly standard, we had no trouble finding a seat & enjoying our meal.
In the end, it was a culinary win I didn't see coming. I'd definitely go back-with or without my girlfriend dragging me in.
Pretty good salad. Not digging the new wooden forks though. :(
EDIT:
What happened to Mandys? The chicken doesnt even taste like chicken anymore.. They got rid of the Caesar salad to be replaced by Julius Caesar & you have to pay extra for the Egg. I used to eat here every week & now its more like once a month & the price keeps going up up up.
Visited this Mandy's several times. Service is good, fast, everything is clean, nice decorations & of course delicious fresh salads! Also nice place for having coffee or matcha.
Always a good time at Mandy's. The best salads in the city & Sherbrooke is definitely my favorite location. Get the Wolfe bowl if you go :)))
