Friendly staff, we got served by Patu.
Amazing atmosphere, nice experience, delicious food specially the pasta fajuro soup. Amazing sea food pasta, also pesto penne.
Highly recommended for sure..
Very happy to have a nice local pizza place nearby, this is always a must for me. On our first visit, we ordered pizzas to go. The pizza was larger than I had thought, so we had plenty of leftovers for the next day & it was just as good the day after. The pizza is also not very greasy either, I would say that the pepperoni one was ok, but the better choices are the ones with more toppings, the all dressed & super special were very good. On our second visit we had the pasta, & that was excellent. I had the Cannelloni Fiorentina & loved it. The cheese, freshly made pasta & other ingredients were delicious & the serving size was perfect. A great take out option when you have a group over or just to stop by for a nice meal.
So I have eaten here many times over the years including take out & eat in. I honestly don't know how they stay open for so many years as every time I pass by there are very few people inside.
Food. Below average & not consistent nor fresh.
Service. Generally slow unless you're a regular or a larger party spending a lot of money I suppose.
Atmosphere. Old, dated & original but at the same time classic Italian cosy.
So take out pizza, what they are famous for. Dough is very very chewy & taste is nothing to write home about. Sauce is barely noticeable & what little you can taste is disappointing. Cheese is limited & thin as well as not covering the entire pizza properly. It was somewhere between a thin crust & slightly more. Pepperoni coverage was poor & overall price was very high for what they serve.
Eating in the restaurant during the week on a Wednesday & a Thursday evening proved to be poor. The bread on table was ok, but salad was a shame a total let down. Other foods orders were not even worth writing about as I haven't anything good to say so I will leave it there.
In summary I suspect that this area has such a limited number of restaurants this place have a built in audience by default & not by choice if they want something close by.
I would certainly not return as it's definitely worth while to drive a little further & have some quality food - Italian or otherwise.
Such a cozy old world vibe with wonderful service & excellent food. Highly recommend the chicken parm, the eggplant parm, & the tiramisu - dinner was excellent.
I ordered the tortellini soup & it was extremely disappointing. The broth tasted like dishwater, the pasta was heavy & unpleasant, & I ended up with a stomachache afterwards. For the price, I expected much better quality. Definitely not a place I would recommend or return to.
If you have watched the Office When Michael Scott Bought from the Wrong Pizza Place this would be worse!
Mama Mia offers rich, authentic Italian flavors that truly impress. The pasta is cooked to perfection, the sauces are well-balanced, & every dish feels thoughtfully prepared. The ambiance is warm & inviting, making it a lovely spot for a relaxed meal. That said, the service can be quite slow, even during quieter hours. While the staff is polite, the pacing may test your patience. Still, if you're not in a rush, the food is absolutely worth the wait.
Sunday 7h30pm I called for order nobody answer & no answering machine.
My friend & I made reservations for Friday night. This is a well established restaurant with lots of charm & it's just beautiful. I'm including my pictures to illustrate this. I ordered the pasta & meat sauce & my friend ordered the Pasta Primavera. My friend actually is a very good cook & she loved her dish. & I loved my dish also. The food is very tasty. The Staff is friendly, & welcoming. We were served & waited upon beautifully. Just a little anecdote, this particular restaurant is very special to me because my husband took me here on our first date. & so because of this., I would highly recommend this for People who are going out on a first date, & anybody who wants a special ambiance.
Je pense que ici ils donne des magnifique alfredo les nouilles sont5 stars
Calidad y calides, excelentes platillos, cocinados con amor y alegria
Amazing food & service. Salmon was perfectly grilled, chicken Parmesan was delicious, fettuccine Alfredo was best ever. Service was attentive & friendly. Looking forward to our next family dinner.
Came here with a couple friends & we really enjoyed ourselves. The complimentary bread that we got was fantastic. Our orders were great & the restaurant didn't shy away when it came to serving parmesan. The staff was also really friendly when we entered & left the establishment.
My husband & I decided to try Mamma Mia as we had not been there in quite some time. We were with 5 other people. The food was exceptional, as good as any high end Italian restaurant. The portions were very generous & the service was excellent. I ordered a glass of house white wine which came in a small decanter. Normally, when you order a glass of wine, you get one glass. Well, the decanter provided two full glasses of wine for a very reasonable price of $9.75. The meals were quite reasonably priced. The restaurant was busy & a good time was had by all. We will be back!!
Everyone's nice! It takes 20 minutes for it to get ready & it's definitely should be a longer wait. For what it's worth, it is one of the best places in mtl for pasta pizza, anything Italian?
