Maman Sady Restaurant is widely celebrated as a premier destination for authentic Persian cuisine in Montreal, consistently praised for its warm, family-oriented atmosphere and high-quality dishes like lamb shank, koobideh, and savory soups. Many guests highlight the welcoming and attentive service, generous portion sizes, and cozy decor that make it a favorite for both casual meals and special celebrations. While the vast majority of visitors describe their experience as exceptional and flavorful, a small number of reviews mention occasional inconsistencies regarding service speed, dish temperature, or ingredient freshness, though these are frequently overshadowed by the restaurant's overall hospitality and culinary dedication.
The food was delicious. The complimentary soup served at the beginning was especially tasty, & all of the kebabs we ordered were well-seasoned, juicy, & perfectly cooked.
The Zeytoon Parvardeh was also quite good.
If they served Iranian rice, I would say the entire experience would be flawless.
The service & hospitality were excellent, & the staff were very welcoming.
I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant
We visited this restaurant tonight, & all of the food was absolutely delicious.
Although there was a delay with our order due to a misunderstanding during a very busy time, Ms. Sadi, the manager, went above & beyond to make things right. Her kindness, generosity, & professionalism truly impressed us.
Thank you to Ms. Sadi & the entire team for the outstanding food & exceptional hospitality. We will definitely be back!
We have been patrons of this restaurant for many years & have also placed numerous orders through Uber Eats. Regrettably, our most recent experience was deeply disappointing.
After finishing our meal on a Saturday afternoon, we paid our bill & left a 20% tip in appreciation of the service we had received. We then remained at our table enjoying a cup of tea & conversation. Before we had even finished our tea, a waitress approached us & informed us that the guests seated behind us had a reservation & that we would need to vacate our table.
We found this request surprising & unnecessary, particularly given that there appeared to be other available tables throughout the restaurant that could have accommodated the reserved guests. Rather than feeling valued as customers, we were made to feel rushed out of the restaurant immediately after paying our bill & leaving a generous tip.
As a result, we felt unwelcome & chose to leave without even finishing our tea. Had we known that we would be treated this way moments after paying & tipping 20%, we certainly would not have left such a gratuity. In all our years of dining out, this is the first time we have ever been asked to leave our table under these circumstances.
A restaurant should strive to make its customers feel appreciated, especially long-standing patrons who have supported the business for many years. Unfortunately, that was not our experience on this occasion. Customer service should be a fundamental priority, yet it did not appear to be so during this visit.
Although the food is satisfactory, there are many other establishments that provide both quality cuisine & courteous, professional service. Regrettably, due to the manner in which we were treated, we will not be returning.

We had my husband's birthday at this resturant & it was one of our best outdoor birthday experiences! The staffs treat you like you are part of their family member. The food was wonderful but the customer service was beyond exceptional! Will definitely be back when we will be in Montreal again!
We were visiting from Boston & decided to try this restaurant. It did not disappoint. For start, it did take a bit of time for the waitress to come & take our order but we had 2 toddlers & an infant with us. I believe her name was Elham & she was extremely polite & patient with us. She definitely deserves high praise for running the place. With a traditional outfit & calm gesture, we were provided everything we needed in a timely manner. The food was excellent & so was the service. Knowing that tipping culture is not as common in Canada compared to the US, we were so satisfied that we left a %22 tip & I sure hope Elham gets every penny as she deserves. We will be certainly back during our next visit to Montreal.
Terribly below expectations.will not return.
The service was super slow
The best part of the meal was probably the soup followed by the lamb shank. The rest was awful.
The appetizers arrived & were underwhelming. For the love of god, reconsider the size of the Shirazi salad! It's too small for a salad. The meat arrived very late & then it was cold. All of it! We complained that the filet mignon was cold & the waitress came & said she would bring a new one. After ten minutes she returned & said she would just warm up the one we had which turned the meat into a shoe sole. The chicken was dry & tasteless. Koobideh was actually decent.
This Persian restaurant is not worth the hype. If anyone wants to eat well, please head to Quartier Perse!
