brunch(73) coffee(47) breakfast(40) pancake(38) cafe(37) recommend(34) latte(24) vibe(19) cookie(18) toast(18) cozy(18) drink(18)Their pancake is to die for! & it's a very cute place. It is very busy, & the waiters are nice, but don't come often enough to check on us & it takes a while before anyone takes your order. Every time I went, it's pretty loud to a point it's kind of hard to each each other across the table. Overall great food, but the service & atmosphere could be improved with more staff & better acoustics, plants or less tables to reduce noises around.
We oedered a croque maman, a chicken sandwich added a egg, a hot chocolate & a latte.
I felt the croque maman was a little dry.
Excellents brunchs! Je suis déjà venue deux fois avec deux menus différents & je recommande chaudement
I think this wins for my new favourite brunch spot in Mtl! the vibes were so cute, the servers were so nice & helpful, & the FOOD! Omg the food was beyond! Don't skip the pastries, the almond croissant was sinfully good! The breakfast sandwich was so flavourful & the pancakes were like actual cake! 10/10!!!
I would recommend coming here for brunch, they have alot of selections & their food was yummy.
I also loved the interior it was different & elegant.
Great atmosphere & service, our waiter was very friendly & checked on us many times, which I feel like doesn't happen that much. Food was good but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here for the food. The coffee I got from their spring specialty menu was underwhelming & wasn't that good, tasted too sweet & the tahini flavor wasn't noticeable to me :(
Overall, I'd come back here for the vibes & to try their pastries, but not for a brunch meal.
Too much UNCH & not enough BR sadly it's like white girl brunch not actual brunch
Very nice breakfast place. Menu has many interesting selections & I would go back to continue to try different items. Our party of 4 chose the pancakes, the French toast, the parfait & the grandpa. Drip coffee was bitter; OJ was good. The pastries basket was also enjoyable. It is quite busy & this Saturday it was quite noisy. Atmosphere is quaint.
It was my first time at Maman Montreal - I had been to one of their NY location a few years ago. I had a great experience! The staff was super kind, & even though the place was packed, they managed to find us a spot at the bar. I had a good cappuccino & a delicious pain au chocolat. I can't wait to come back for their brunch!
Our Go-To Breakfast Spot in Montreal!
We had breakfast here twice during our stay in Montreal, & it quickly became one of our favorite spots in the city. The food is fresh, tasty, & satisfying - perfect for starting the day right. Whether you're craving a classic New York-style bagel or something more filling, Mama N.Y.C. delivers.
What truly stood out was the warmth & kindness of the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, & made us feel right at home both times we visited.
Great atmosphere, great service, & great coffee - we'll definitely be back next time we're in town. Highly recommended!
Gorgeous little place, great atmosphere, friendly staff & amazing food. It's a hidden gem, we loved it.
We went on Easter Sunday so take this review with a grain of salt!
Overall, the food was tasty & they have a lot of options across drinks, coffee, pastries & brunch fare.
The food did take a long time to arrive, & they brought us the wrong drink (twice), but they were also apologetic, kind, & accommodating. Considering all this, I would still return!
Had the pistachio Danish to go. Asked for a croissant & got a Danish, but that's fine. Could be miscommunication as I ordered in English.
Overall packed but good service at the cashier.
Danish was actually quite good.
UPDATE This is the 2nd time I go, even though my last experience was bad, I was hoping for a better outcome this time. The staff is very nice, no complaints about that, but OMG the waiting (& I had reservation) was truly ridiculous. My friend & I ordered & one hour & fifteen minutes later... still waiting. I mean, if you are short on staff, I get it, but at least you should say it up front & it will be up to us to decide whether we stay or not. We ended up leaving because we were starving & our plates weren't coming any time soon (after 1h15 of waiting). Such a shame because the place is beautiful but this time, I ain't coming back.
The place is gorgeous!! Beautiful atmosphere: the decor, plates, cups, etc. But I won't be coming back, the service is soooo bad that I just couldn't believe it, the guy had such a laziness/apathy to serve us that I was about to asked him why was he working there if he had ZERO interest in clients. The only time he was'kind' was when he told us they were closing & if he could get us something else. My girlfriend didn't tip him, I was not going to tip him either but I felt bad... why should I feel bad when he treated us like whatever? Anyways! Not going back there. It is a shame that a business go to waste because of its employees.
