I was looking for halal places in google & Mama Khan came up. I wish I went here earlier. They were about to close but still accommodated us & showed us such love & care. Abdur & Tanvir both took great care of us & the food was a cherry on top. Very delicious & authentic Peshawari! The decor in the restaurant gave a very traditional, at-home feel. Try the chapli kebab & lamb for sure! They also give food to homeless people almost every day. Highly highly recommended!View more

A unique mix of cuisine from the North West Frontier Province & altruism. Inspired by a CBC radio feature on Mama Khan's philanthropic efforts during Ramadan, (&, year-round, as we subsequently learned) we sought out this cosy establishment located in le Plateau. The culinary experience exceeded our expectations - the dishes were reminiscent of homemade delights, evoking memories of my own mother's cooking. The attentive service & generous portions, advertised for two, but sufficient for four, only added to the charm. Our long-standing quest for restaurants serving authentic, home-style Pathan meals found corporeal & spiritual delight at Mama Khan's.
