Overall a good dumpling place. Food: Dumplings were good. Not the absolute best, but I was certainly satisfied with them. There isn't much else on the menu though. We tried the cucumber salad & I'd give it a 3/5 Service: When we arrived, it was a cold day & the place was empty other than a couple at one table. We asked to sit at the tables furthest from the front door (because of the cold) but we were told that all of those tables were reserved. So we had to sit close to the door & deal with the cold. The "reserved" tables didn't have any "reserved" signs & remained unoccupied the whole time we were there. As we were paying our bill, a couple entered & were shown to one of the "reserved" tables without being asked if they had a reservation. They didn't appear to know the staff. I don't know why this happened, but I couldn't help but notice that the couple might have been chinese. I hope this is just a misunderstanding. Overall, it was a good meal. If I ever go back, I'll ask to sit away from the door again & see what happens.Voir plus

The space & atmosphere was nice & staff were welcoming. The peanut butter dumplings were good. The service was not great. We waited a long time for water & the appetizer plates took a long time to clear. The food was alright but when given the choice between fried or steamed dumplings, we were NOT told about the extra fee for fried dumplings which isn't right. At the end, they said they couldn't split any bills either which made it a bit more inconvenient.Voir plus

The food itself is good, but I wish there would be more options as side dishes & entrees as to what most they offer is dumplings, which is great if they specialize in that, but more options would make us actually come back here more often... Also, for the "atmosphere", it's a really dusty place, I don't know how often they clean it but walls are covered with food splashing & most decorations have dust piled up :// which as a germaphobe - I did not enjoy at all. But if we don't consider the lack of cleaning surfaces, the place is super small & cozy, & overall is providing a relaxing atmosphere. Girls who served us were amazing but only speak English - no french at all, but tried their best to accommodate.Voir plus

The food was good & fresh You can see the dumplings being prepared behind the counter. The place feels authentic. However, the service was lacking. We asked to keep 1 menu in case we wanted to order more after the first round. When the first round arrived, they took away the menu. They did ask us if we wanted to order a second round at the time of delivery of the first round, but it was hard to decide before we had sampled the first round. The waiter never passed by after that (to fill our water glasses or ask if we wanted a second round like we mentioned at the beginning). I had to go get the water jar myself. The portions are good size. There was no need for a second round & even had a few left over dumplings to take home. There are quite a few choices with different kinds of meats & few vegetarian options. I would go back & give it an other try before I make a definite decision about the service & coming back a 3rd time.Voir plus
Was at Mama Dumpling Friday night, around 8:30PM. As I walked in, I could see that they were already closing. It's really too bad, because it feels like they should wrap up after 9PM & not 30 minutes to 9PM. Would have loved to try, but alas, couldn't & was rather disappointed in the service.Voir plus
Great place to eat at. I gave it a 4 coz nothing is perfect. The dumplings taste great. I've only eaten a few from their menu but so far so good. Kinda wish they have xiaolongbao. That would be great. The location is perfect. Thats all thank you.Voir plus
