Absolutely loved my experience at Mama C! The atmosphere is warm & elegant, with stunning decor that feels like a perfect mix of Mediterranean charm & Old Montreal sophistication.
The food was phenomenal - fresh, vibrant, & beautifully plated. The dorade sashimi & the lamb shoulder (carved right at the table!) were absolute standouts.
A special shoutout to Leslie, the sommelière, who made our night extra special. Her wine recommendations were thoughtful & spot-on, & you could really feel her passion & deep knowledge. She brought a whole new layer of enjoyment to the meal - the wine pairings truly elevated each dish.
Service overall was excellent: attentive, friendly, & unrushed. Mama C is ideal for date night, a celebration, or just a memorable evening out. Can't wait to return!

Came for the 3rd time to MamaC & as per usual everything was absolutely perfect.
Hostess greeted us incredibly warm & inviting. Was sat near the front of the restaurant & requested to move to the middle of the room & was accommodated immediately.
Our server Justin who was also behind the bar took care of us & had great suggestions.
The spanakopita salad was delicious as were the other dishes we ordered. Cocktails were well balanced & his wine selection for us were surprising & refreshing.
Can't wait to come back for another fabulous evening.
Bravo to the team & restaurant. Finally a place in Montreal you can count on time & time again!
Absolutely loved the this place the good so really delicious. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing & beautiful. The staff are super friendly. They have menus in English. Over all they created a memorable night for us. Definitely recommend.
Souper avec des amies un vendredi soir. Nous avons pris un menu à partager; tartare de bar (dé-li-cieux), spicy kopanisti (Yum) , salade spinakopita (très bonne, équilibrée), le filet mignon en kebab avec poivron grillé (troppp bon), & l'orzo avec crevettes (succulent). Le service était impeccable, l'ambiance chaleureuse. Je retournerai assurément!

Disappointing Birthday Dinner & Chef's Menu at Mama C
We chose Mama C for a birthday dinner (5 girls), & while our server was incredibly friendly, the experience was a letdown. We requested light, veggie-focused dishes with no raw food due to a pregnancy. Despite this, we opted for the Chef's Menu, expecting the best.
Instead, the first course was raw, & every subsequent dish was overly creamy, rich, & repetitive. The final course was two disappointing pasta dishes - not what we came to a Greek restaurant for. Portions were doubled, leading to excessive waste. One pasta dish tasted horribly fishy, resulting in diarrhea for all of us & vomiting for one later that night.
When we voiced our disappointment about the lack of fresh seafood, our server admitted she knew the Chef's Menu wasn't adaptable & suggested a custom menu for a return visit. This was frustrating - why wasn't this offered initially, especially after we stated our preferences? The service was also incredibly slow; our 7 PM reservation ended at 11:15 PM.
Overall, despite a great server, the Chef's Menu at Mama C failed to deliver, leaving us unwell & completely underwhelmed.
Food is excellent. Some of the best Greek cuisine in old Montreal. Ambiance is romantic, low lighting, candle light - perfect for a date night. Service is lacking. No smiles, partially ignored, no acknowledgement. This could be improved on.

Delicious! I had the opportunity to try this restaurant & it was so amazing. All the people who work there were extremely nice & helpful. The place itself is quite an experience. I had chicken fermier which was exquisite!
J'avais beaucoup entendu parler de ce resto mais j'avoue ne pas comprendre le hype. Personnellement j'ai vraiment aimé mon plat principale qui était des pâtes. Pour le reste c'était ordinaire. Par contre mes 3 amies ont été déçu par plusieurs de leurs plats. Par contre ce qui nous a toutes déplu le plus c'est le service. Dans un resto « haut de gamme » on s'attendrait à recevoir le service qui va avec mais ce n'est pas le cas ici. La serveuse a gâché notre expérience. Incapable de nous conseiller que ce soit au niveau des vins ou du menu. & non apparement elle n'était pas nouvelle. Pour le prix & l'expérience reçu aucune chance que j'y retourne.
We were there for breakfast & the food was served cold. The service was deficient; we had to ask several times to get what we ordered correctly.
Definitely not worth the price we paid for. Unfortunate because the place looks great!
We stayed at Hotel Nelligan for the first time this weekend & had the pleasure of being served by Kim at Mama C's! She recommended dessert & drinks, & we loved it all. She was very down to earth, personable & attentive. I'd say she was the best server I've ever encountered in my years of travel. You are an incredibly lucky establishment to have her. We'd recommend Mama C's any day!
