Anyway, it is very different from the old Majesthé at Place des arts (a few years ago). The food (lu rou fan- braised pork rice) is quite good, & I tried the very popular Yuzu sour whisky, it's not bad, but not outstanding. The interior decor is quite nice, they have sofas if you want to be comfy. The price is reasonable overall & service is good in general.View more
I had a fantastic experience at Bar Majesthé! The atmosphere was warm & inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind. Live music was great & the menu had a great selection, & everything we ordered was fresh & delicious .
A special shoutout to our server, Amanda, who was outstanding! She was friendly, attentive, & had excellent recommendations that made our meal even better. Her knowledge of the menu & thoughtful suggestions truly elevated our dining experience.View more
Even though it's a bar, the main dishes are surprisingly delicious! I especially love the Taiwanese Basil Fried Chicken-it's super authentic! The new Salt & Pepper Pork Ribs with Rice is also amazing! The honey-based sauce that comes with it is really special, definitely worth a try! The egg fried rice has a great wok flavor, & the spicy option uses fresh chili peppers, which shows how skilled the chef is. The service is also great-very friendly! Overall, it's a restaurant with great value for the price!View more
Amazing food & a great selection of drinks & cocktails. Will definitely become a monthly customer at this restaurant & bar! The staff was also very friendly & helpful when ordering food & also took note of allergies to make sure nothing bad would happen.View more
The cocktails were fantastic & the food was really good. I had calamari bit greasy but good, braised "3 cup" chicken that was recommended, & did not disappoint. I also had the sesame balls for dessert. Service forgot one of my drinks but made up for it with a free round for our table. Overall, it's definitely has a cozy bar vibe. My issue with it was the atmosphere. Bathrooms were so dark that you needed those big night vision glasses from Jurassic Park. & the seating was these tiny metal stools. It's not the best for long sitting. I do recommend it, though.View more
Place intéressante pour les samedis jazz. Prix très corrects...le service est fluide & courtois. Il faut demander au bar pour des découvertes, vous ne serez pas déçus. Longue vie à la musique.View more
Great bistro-bar. Good place for drinks or dinner. They often have a live band at night. The food is fusion so don't expect the dishes to be authentic. I came for dinner. They have tiny tables for 2 so if you plan on ordering lots of food, ask to be seated at the bigger table. I tried the takoyaki & pork bao as appetizers. The takoyaki was good but not crispy enough. The pork baos were quite big. The buns were soft & fluffy. They were very generous with the pork. For my main course, I had the vegetarian Yaki Udon with crispy tofu. I loved the mushroom sauce on the udon. Delicious. However the huge piece of crispy tofu didn't impress me. It was quite bland. I would have prefered small pieces of tofu. For dessert, I tried the hazelnut cake. It was ok.View more
Amazing hidden gem! I've been there three times now. Twice in a row this week 😂 I brought all my friends tonight. Great menu with options for many dietary requirements. Friendly staff & VERY FAST service. Food comes out really quickly. The BEST part about this cool space is that it's a resto/bar that serves bubble tea! They have two milk teas & one fruit tea option. The sober people have fun drinks in tall glasses too! No dairy free option for the milk teas though. My friends loved the whiskey sour. They have live music sometimes too. You must try the pork Bao & tiger prawn Bao. Their salads are dressed really nicely too. Thank you! See you soonView more
We got lost, it's inside down the stairs & down another set of stairs. There's street parking. Friendly staff, nice service. It's a small place with some table & a bar. We only order drinks. We didn't get to enjoy the food but we will try again another day.View more

No longer the go-to for Taiwanese Fusion. Been pretty loyal since the original bistro opened over a decade ago. They served amazing & innovative food when it started. A serious contender for Taiwanese Asian Fusion in Montreal. I secretly felt guilty consistently choosing them over others for Taiwanese, but their quality was incomparably good. After the first move, favourite items were removed & overall service, quality dipped a bit, especially ambiance dropped due to lack of interior design & plastic furniture. But that's okay.. it's hard to scale quality & they still rocked food & some of their best dishes kept me going back. I always wondered if the owner changed but I never asked. Fast forward after the pandemic & with their third move to take over the space of their former downstairs neighbour (Atti), the ambiance improved thanks to inheriting Atti's dark decor, although it's very loud now. Unfortunately some improvement in ambiance came with a proportionally inverse trade off with quality & service. My waitress this summer called a sous-vide egg soft boiled, so I was surprised when it showed up. I explained to her those are two noticeably different styles of preparing egg. Her reason for not describing it properly was because'most customers don't actually know what it is'. Her attitude wasn't outrageously rude, but it subtly felt like she didn't want to be there, at least not at our table. I could forgive that because most people understand temporary jobs, & she was young & probably new & busy managing different tables. However, common sense says it was subpar service, plus it was a slight insult to my food knowledge, & an indication of how far the ball has dropped since the original bistro first started. The manager was smart about it when I suggested him to better train staff on the knowledge of their menu. As an apology they remade the main dish & took an appetizer off the bill (I was told the beef skewers would not be spicy, but there was a decent amount of chili on the marinade). I still left a normal 15% tip & waited till months later to write this review so it's not easily tied to any date/names. But these days I hesitate to return & lament for the amazing bistro it once was. It's now a trendy Asian 5-7 spot, & that's fine to draw in new crowds for the bar aspect, but they lost sight of what the bistro aspect should focus on .. good food, & turned their back on long-term loyal customers.View more
Ok i’m kinda torn on leaving this review, on one hand i think everyone should know how good this place is so that they can stay in business & prosper, on the other hand i don’t want this place to blow up cause i love how lowkey it feels. But that’s just me being selfish, this place really deserves 5 stars. The atmosphere here is killer, such a relaxed lounge setting, decent snack options & aaaamaaaazing drinks. I’ve started coming here often, & definitely plan on coming even more. Amazing choice of japanese whiskeys, boba cocktails, food etc. Come here, or don’t… nah i’m being selfish again if you’re reading this you should come here.
Love this place, it’s definitely the closest thing i’ve found to the bars i used to go to in japan. Love it.
UPDATE:
I have been coming back here more often, the staff keep getting better, the food yummier, & the drinks tastier. The service is immaculate as always, the firey chicken is bombbbb, everything about this place rocks, but as i said don’t come here like don’t blow up this restaurant keep it low key ok?
Also Amanda is the best at her job, she’s amazing. Thank youuuuView more
Bonne nourriture, service rapide. Les locaux auraient besoin de rénovations, l'état du plafond était déplaisant & l'organisation de la salle à manger, la localisation du bar & l'éclairage nuisait à l'ambiance.
Had a great experience at MajesThé Bistro Bar! Food was amazing, drinks were great & impeccable service from our waiter, who took the time to give us recommendations. The Baos were so good! Would definitely go back

Great spot for when you want to grab drinks in a quiet, more dark vibe bar, with good music. They have a good variety in snacks/ meals, which are very tasteful & served in good portions. They go very well with their cocktails menu. The staff is super friendly as well! I do recommend a reservation or giving them a call, since it’s a small place & fills up fast, especially during dinner time.
