What happen to this place. 15 years ago this place served elite level General Tso meals. I just ordered one & holy cow it is just bad.
The chicken is not season. The sauce the chicken is on is just bland. Even the fried rice was not packing the same punch. This is not a chef having a bad day. This is a 180 degree's from the original recipe
10 years I've been going there & still the best Half-Half in Montreal. The fried intestines, the salt & pepper fried seafood the chicken wings & many more are equally good. Nothing compares & that's before you consider the wonderful family that runs the place.
*5/5 Stars*
I'm still dreaming about the incredible dining experience I had at this amazing Chinese restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the staff were warm & welcoming, setting the tone for a fantastic evening.
The menu was vast & tantalizing, with plenty of options to suit every taste. We opted for a mix of classic dishes & more adventurous choices, & every single one exceeded our expectations. The flavors were bold, the presentation was stunning, & the portions were generous.
The standout dish for me was the Kung Pao chicken - spicy, savory, & utterly addictive. The noodles were cooked to perfection, & the vegetables were fresh & vibrant. Every bite was a delight!
The service was top-notch, with attentive & knowledgeable staff happy to guide us through the menu & offer recommendations.
If you're a Chinese food fan, or just looking for a great dining experience, look no further! This restaurant is a must-visit. Can't wait to go back & try more of their delicious offerings.
*Highly recommended!*
Went out with for a nice meal, the staff was nice, the servings of food however, another experience, & not the greatest. The rice was perfect, my General Tao wasn't spicy like they advertised, it was more sweet & no hint of hot peppers used like traditional. The dish my husband got had more bone, hot peppers, & peanuts than meat ratio, which you wouldn't expect in a dish that advertised chicken as the meat source. The fried wontons were good, but Beijing Restaurant has better for a similar price. In total, it came around $50+ for the 2 chicken dishes, rice, & wontons, with no additional tip.
Great menu! Love the combo options! Their fried rice & general Tao chicken was delicious!! The noodles were excellent as well!!
Ordered wonton soup, some spicy, noodle soup, a spicy chicken dish & salt pepper shrimps. The only positive was the shrimps. Everything else is very crude, the taste of MSG is blatantly obvious. The spicy food is spicy, but not tasteful. The portions are average. Service was good overall.
Very deceiving experience. We ordered on Uber Eats. Poor quality food, obviously re-heated & re-fried. The Szechuan shrimps were not fresh & the broccoli beef was pasty. The chicken wings were dry & tasteless, as were the spring rolls. I never bother to write a bad review but if this one can save you $100 for a terrible meal for two, then it's worth it.
