A very intriguing mix of UK pub decor with a touch of North American sports bar vibe. The pub was super busy on Halloween night but the staff still went out of their way to provide food & friendly service. Both the food & drinks were more than decent. I cannot expect anything better from a place like this
Needed a spot to relax after walking the strip. Found McLeans. Service was 12 out of 10. Both owner & Bartender made our day. We had already ate & were there at off peak time, so didnt get a meal but drinks & environment was top notch. Everyone is super friendly highly recommend & the plates I saw come out looked delicious!

Mitch was our bartender & he provided such a fun familiar service to us. He was very attentive to our drinks & always kept us full! Judy the owner was also there & she was very friendly & my husband & I did not want to leave! We stayed for 3 hours! Would recommended this bar to anyone passing by wanting to grab a friendly drink!
Brought 40 people to watch Jays game 6 & came back the very next night. Atmosphere was popping & both nights the service was phenomenal. If you are looking for a fun place to watch a game or just have a couple drinks - this place is perfect.
We had a wonderful time at this pub. We came in late to Montréal from Pennsylvania & wanted to find a place to grab a quick bite. The bartender Mitch was not only a great bartender, but also gave us loads of advice on what to do while we were in the city & made us feel very welcome. We had such a good time we went back for drinks the next night!
Seems ok as a Pub for drinking ONLY ! Good variety of beers & decent pricing. Food part : ZERO. The samosas were so oily, they were fried in oil, then left overnight in oil, before serving :) . The place has a small terrace which is nice. Verdict : neutral

We searched EVERYWHERE for somewhere to watch ufc yesterday (in town for work) & this was the only place showing it. 5 stars for that alone! But the food & drinks were also awesome, 11/10 service (I think our bartenders name was Paul? he's great). We would be back :)
We just wanted to thank Greg for his hospitality & great mixologist skills! Our group of four had a great time relaxing & having some laughs after attending a concert on March 19th. Greg's service was top notch & the snacks & drinks were fabulous! We felt very welcome at Maison Publique McLean's ! Merci, thank you! We hope to be back again!
Our FAVORITE place ever! My husband & I visit all the time, the food is delicious & we love that it is not loud as other bars, we can sit in the bar & enjoy our drinks while chatting & watching the games.

Was there yesterday for the Ireland Rugby game , was 15 minutes waiting on a corona when I first sat at the bar before switching too a table , server was good then, the main bar tender seemed a a bit drunk as was doing shots with customers regularly (maybe this is normal in Montreal I don't know) - got charged my friends drinks on my tab even though he had already covered his. Seems very unorganized kind of place, wouldn't rush back .
I've been to Maison Publique a few times recently & it's been nothing short of great. I loved the food, drinks & atmosphere & the service is fantastic. I also attended some work events here & the team was always kind & super accommodating. Highly recommended!
I used to work around here & decided to have a little 5@7 with the old work colleagues here. This used to be the Carlos & Pepe back in the day, but it's been closed since before COVID. It's a downtown bar, so you kinda have to judge it at that level. Are drinks & food kinda pricey? Yeah, but I've seen worse elsewhere in the area. If you're sitting by the window, is it going to be loud/distracting? Yes, but there's plenty of room further back. Is beer selection kinda limited? Yes & no. It's one of those "lots of selection, but not much choice". It's all Labatt products, including the fake microbrews, but my pint of Guinness was fine. Service was good, they were friendly without hovering over us constantly. Apparently there's happy hour specials but we weren't informed about them. I'm sort of torn about the food. I ordered the poutine, my friends went for the burger & fish & chips. As much as their plates were gigantic, mine was kinda small for the price, & shredded cheese on a poutine? Blasphemy! But the fries & sauce were good. Ambiance is nice, it looks a lot like the old McLean's down the road but newer & cleaner, & more TVs. There's literally no bad seat here to watch whatever game is on. So when in the neighborhood I think it's a pretty good place to hang out.

the service is so amazing, the bus boy mark was awesome , the waitress emily was to perfection, the best ever & the bartender greg made great drinks & the food was to die for. shout out jay! 100% would recommend & 100% coming back. wednesdays are the best day to go!
The curly haired man kept taking our drinks & plates before we could finish with them. Super rude for people who are spending money in your establishment. Place was half empty, but we felt very rushed. Our female waitress/bartender was very nice & helpful on the other hand.

What's not to like at this well established landmark pub! Food, drinks, clientele, servers, bartenders, & security. You will fit right in & enjoy the unique hospitality of Montreal!
Just went in quickly for a drink before the game with my husband. Service was good, drinks were fine. Can't really comment on anything else as it was only a quick visit, but we would go again.
