Loved this restaurant & will definitely be back! The place is so cozy & welcoming. The beef noodle soup was fragrant, comforting & absolutely delicious. Also loved the shrimp toast & matcha tiramisu.
New favourite restaurant in hochelaga. Vibes are immaculate. Friendly service & everyone working there seems to be having a grand ole time. Hit all the right notes! Magnifique!

Was recommended by a friend, so finally went for dinner
Not a big place, but the decor & environment made it very homey
Everyone who works there are very welcoming & friendly
They even brought sweet ginger tea for this cold weather , which also win over many other restaurants
& the decor almost feels like a vintage store, where you can also enjoy a cup of coffee or tea during the day 😌
& the food, omg, amazing , 10 out 10
The hainan chicken was so tender & all 3 sauces go super well with it, even just with the rice
The gnocchi was such a interesting twist, it's almost like a risotto, since it's more toward dairy dish, but still have some asian/ Japanese flavour it
I would have to say it's probably the best fusion resto I have tried in the hochelaga area 🙌😌🥰
My friends tried their beef noodle soup, & the special fried chicken with rice , & they were both impressed by the flavour

I had the first item on the daily specials menu, Nasi Lemak. Beautiful flavors, GOOD portions, has all the flavours. This is actually authentic Asian cuisine.
While I was there another table there was an Asian family who was finishing, & told the owner that they loved it as well.
There's so many things I want to try. The hainanese chicken for example - & this may be the only place in Montreal to offer it (I don't think satay brothers have it?).

Le lieu a du coeur & ça se ressent dans la cuisine!
Le service est très chaleureux & on leur souhaite d'exister le plus longtemps possible dans le quartier!
Nous sommes allé souper & les deux plats que nous avons commandés, la soupe au boeuf braisée épicée & la soupe wonton, étaient incroyablement délicieux. Chaque bouchée était remplie de saveur différente qui s'harmonisent merveilleusement bien.
Les portions sont généreuses & les prix tout à fait raisonnable pour la qualité des ingrédients. L'une des propriétaires nous a dit que tout est fait maison, incluant le bouillon, les sauces.
Le service est très chaleureux. Nous nous sommes sentis les bienvenus.
Nous y retournerons assurément. Longue vie à la Maison Jofei.

Truly a gem in the neighborhood! The unique menu feels like a love letter to Asian cuisine, from East to Southeast Asia. There's a great variety of classic dishes, some with creative twists, & some more fusion dishes.
You can tell all dishes are made with care & passion. It was an incredible experience, tasting dishes that were familiar but taken to another level! I appreciate how they take the time to really cook from scratch, like the noodles, pasta & broths. No shortcuts, just tasty authentic food.
The ambiance feels cozy & welcoming, as it's filled with vintage furniture, decor & cute knickknacks. I find it balances well with the modern menu, perhaps making you more comfortable to try new cuisine.
Service was impeccable. It felt honest & kind, like they were welcoming you to their own home. We were even offered delicious tea & dessert, which we thoroughly enjoyed with gratitude.
Their location might pose challenges, but I wish them great success. Please keep up the high quality & passion! I'm looking forward to coming back to taste more food :)
