Don't think about it. Go here. This place deserves all the business you can give.
We were served complementary ginger apple iced tea & it was so delicious & refreshing.
My partner & I had the beef soup & lo fun seafood dish. Just so rich in flavours, unbelievably succulent beef. For the seafood dish, it was creamy & packed with typical Asian flavors (calamansi, fish sauce, red chilli). & they did not skimp out on all types of seafood like shrimp, squid, clams of the like. Service was crazy quick.
Then we had the mint chocolate gelato & matcha tiramisu. The tiramisu was subtle but so good & moist. The mint chocolate I took on recommendation of the server & I was not disappointed. It's home made, & to my initial shock but inevitable great pleasure, it actually tasted like mint.
The portions are generous & the price so reasonable for these days. I'm absolutely stuffed & before tip it came to $30 each.
Everything was so much better than I expected & I will absolutely be coming back.
Recommended by a friend, the food is fusion. They are delicious. Haihan chicken rice is yummy!! Would like to come here again to try braised duck & beef noodle soup
The friendly chef was busy, but still come out to say hello.
Really great restaurant, the variety kind of threw me off as it's kind of hard to pin down if this is a chinese, filipino, viet restaurant, but it's clearly sort of a thing of its own. The Hainan Chicken was really good, the Hakka Gnocchi was really soft & tender (although a bit hot for the season, i feel like it would be an absolute stand-out comfort dish in winter) The surprising stand out for me was the fried beef po-boy which dipped in the sauces of the hainan chicken is an absolutely insane combo. Shrimp toast was really well cooked & a great surprise too!
Mango sago was one of the first times i have actually well cooked tapioca in a restaurant that isn't a boba shop or something like that & the miso cherry ice cream was very good & the exact kind of experimental food that makes me want to go to restaurants.
Service was great, restaurant was very cute although it's a bit hot in there. I understand peoples complaints about location but in summer the walk isn't too bad. Will definitely come here again next time i'm in the area! Lovely place. Only got a picture of the hainan chicken cause i was too hungry 😶?🌫?
Found this hidden gem of a Chinese restaurant in Montreal, & I'm so glad we did! The ingredients are very generous, the portions are huge, & everything is incredibly reasonably priced.
The shrimp toast was delicious. The fresh, savory flavor of the shrimp paired perfectly with the crispy, crunchy bread.
The deep-fried braised quail was such an interesting & unique dish. The skin was incredibly crispy, while the meat was savory & full of flavor.
The beef noodle soup was definitely my favorite. They give you a lot of beef - honestly, it felt like there was almost more beef & toppings than noodles! 😂 The broth was rich & deeply flavorful, with a taste that reminded me of Taiwanese beef noodle soup. Highly recommended!
The Hainanese chicken rice was another pleasant surprise. The chicken was incredibly tender & juicy, & the special house-made sauce made every bite so satisfying. It also came with a complimentary soup, which made the whole meal even more enjoyable.
For dessert, we tried the matcha tiramisu. The owner told us that the ladyfingers are soaked in tea, & surprisingly, the tea flavor pairs really well with the matcha. It was fragrant, light, & not overly sweet or heavy at all.
We also ordered the ice cream, which the owner said they make in-house in the Italian gelato style. The strawberry flavor is made with real strawberries, & you can really taste the freshness. Definitely worth trying!
Overall, this is definitely a restaurant I'll be coming back to. Great food, generous portions, unique dishes, & excellent value. A real hidden gem in Montreal!
Oh my god I am so happy I found this place & that it is right next to me when I come to Montreal. It is so hard to find healthy food like this, the Haines chicken was perfect & the Vietnamese beef noodle soup cured me. The complimentary tea is beyond perfect I just want to come over for a cup all the time! I'm telling you guys if you opened in Vancouver this business would explode but seriously I will tell all my friends, this place is legit my fave food in mtl
Loved this restaurant & will definitely be back! The place is so cozy & welcoming. The beef noodle soup was fragrant, comforting & absolutely delicious. Also loved the shrimp toast & matcha tiramisu.
Was recommended by a friend, so finally went for dinner
Not a big place, but the decor & environment made it very homey
Everyone who works there are very welcoming & friendly
They even brought sweet ginger tea for this cold weather , which also win over many other restaurants
& the decor almost feels like a vintage store, where you can also enjoy a cup of coffee or tea during the day 😌
& the food, omg, amazing , 10 out 10
The hainan chicken was so tender & all 3 sauces go super well with it, even just with the rice
The gnocchi was such a interesting twist, it's almost like a risotto, since it's more toward dairy dish, but still have some asian/ Japanese flavour it
I would have to say it's probably the best fusion resto I have tried in the hochelaga area 🙌😌🥰
My friends tried their beef noodle soup, & the special fried chicken with rice , & they were both impressed by the flavour
You have to try it 🙌🙌🙌
