Review Summary

Maison Inja offers a highly regarded dining experience in Montreal, celebrated by many for its authentic, flavorful Persian cuisine and welcoming, home-like atmosphere. Guests frequently praise the high quality of dishes like the Tahchin, noting that the food feels freshly prepared and thoughtfully presented. The restaurant is widely noted for its beautiful, cozy decor and warm, attentive service, which makes many visitors feel as though they are dining with family. While the majority of reviews are glowing, some patrons find the pricing high for the portion sizes, and there are occasional reports of inconsistent service or transparency regarding bill items. Despite these mixed remarks on value, the restaurant remains a popular choice for those seeking a memorable and traditional Iranian culinary experience.

A hidden gem nestled in the heart of downtown Montreal, Inja offers a unique take on Persian cuisine that's unlike anything I've encountered elsewhere in Quebec. Despite visiting during an off-hour when the restaurant was empty, the atmosphere was absolutely enchanting, thanks to its gorgeous vintage decor & thoughtfully curated music. As someone relatively new to Afghan-inspired flavors, I found the dishes to be a revelation, with intricate & deeply layered tastes that felt both unfamiliar & captivating. My meal & drink, both saffron-forward, were unexpectedly addictive, leaving me craving more with each bite & sip. One thing to note: the portions are generously sized, so come hungry! For anyone seeking a fresh & exciting culinary experience in Montreal, Inja is a must-visit.

Very lovely decor. Cute place with interesting things on the wall, dressers, chandeliers, etc. Very intimate. Food was very good. Definitely would recommend. The tahchin is very big & worth splitting after an appy.

Maison Inja, located on Sherbrooke Street in Montreal, is a Persian restaurant with a charming & welcoming atmosphere that sets it apart. The ambiance is warm & stylish, making it a delightful place to enjoy a meal. Their menu features some unique Persian dishes, including a variety of TahChins, which are rice-based casseroles traditionally layered with different fillings. We tried the spinach & chicken TahChin & the kebab digi TahChin. While both dishes were tasty & enjoyable, they didn't stand out as particularly exceptional or memorable. Additionally, the pricing seemed a bit high compared to other Persian restaurants in the city, which may be something to consider if you're on a budget. However, the overall experience was positive thanks to the excellent service & the pleasant atmosphere. Maison Inja is worth visiting if you're looking to try some Persian dishes in a refined setting, but it may not be the best choice for those seeking a more budget-friendly option.

Amazing food & lovely personnel! I really look forward to going back. We used to order food through UBEREAT for my company few months ago, but I just saw the UBER menu & got shocked about the significant price increase. We used to order tahchin for $28 & now is $38, that is quite unfortunate that we can't order food at work from there anymore!
