Review Summary

Maison Inja offers a highly regarded dining experience in Montreal, celebrated by many for its authentic, flavorful Persian cuisine and welcoming, home-like atmosphere. Guests frequently praise the high quality of dishes like the Tahchin, noting that the food feels freshly prepared and thoughtfully presented. The restaurant is widely noted for its beautiful, cozy decor and warm, attentive service, which makes many visitors feel as though they are dining with family. While the majority of reviews are glowing, some patrons find the pricing high for the portion sizes, and there are occasional reports of inconsistent service or transparency regarding bill items. Despite these mixed remarks on value, the restaurant remains a popular choice for those seeking a memorable and traditional Iranian culinary experience.

We came to Montreal from Ottawa during the holiday, & our friends highly recommended this restaurant. We're so glad we came!

From the moment we walked in, the warm & welcoming atmosphere made us feel like we were visiting the home of close family friends. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, & genuinely hospitable.

The food was absolutely delicious. Every bite tasted like authentic homemade Persian food. The aroma of saffron & rose water brought back so many wonderful memories of my time in Iran. It was comforting, flavorful, & prepared with so much care.

We tried the eggplant Tahchin & Albaloo Polo, & both were outstanding. The flavors reminded me of my mom's cooking, which is the highest compliment I can give.

We will definitely be coming back, & we'll happily recommend this restaurant to all of our friends. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

The food quality is very mediocre. It is just expensive, the food is not any different & even lower quality than other Persian restaurants.

Amazing design & people. You feel home. Oldish nostalgia style which take you to childhood. Price is expensive & menu was not full of persian food. Mostly north part of iran. I advice to at least Gh örme sabzi to menu. But i felt home in my childhood which I suggest to experience. Tahchin was really delicious

When planning to travel Montreal, I was very excited to find & try the cuisine of an Iranian/Persian restaurant. Maison Inja was the first Iranian restaurant to show up in my search in Apple Maps, so I decided to go there. Best choice I could I have made. The restaurant environment was very beautiful & the servers were very friendly. The food itself was AMAZING, both in looks, taste, & texture. I'd say it was meal fit for the Shah & the Shahbanu. I truly recommend this place for anyone looking for traditional Iranian cuisine & look forward to visiting again someday.

C'est la première fois qu'un restaurant perse me rappelle la'Maison'. & je suis Perse, alors vous savez ce que ça veut dire.

First time that a Persian restaurant reminds me of home. & I am Persian, so you know what that means.

Well, I can't express enough how beautiful, cozy, & well-designed this restaurant is. The touch of persian culture is in every corner. But the food was mediocre. It's pricy, & for that price, I expect something good. The service was ok. It's an expensive restaurant, but I don't think the food was worth the value. The design maybe.

Really outstanding dining! Persian traditional cuisine made with love & so flavorful! The quality, presentation & flavors were on par with a very fine dining experience, only without pretentiousness.
It felt like an old world experience & such warm service - as if you were invited to someone's home. Honestly, the best Persian restaurant across all the ones I had dined at in many different cities. Their saffron rice, dolmas, even salad, not to mention fessenjoon (chicken with walnut sauce) were all outstanding. Highly recommend - if you value quality over the instagrammable hype. 11/10.
