Staff are very kind & accommodating. They do take reservations. For people you are not used to it you need to go to the cash to make your orders, not an issue for me or my party. The Masala Chai was very smooth, I highly recommend it. I had the Haryali Chicken a bit spicy but great!
If you like butter chicken, this is the place for you. The chicken is very tender & the sauce is rich, smooth & creamy. The vege samosa is packed with flavour with a flake exterior, a true delicacy. Their butter chicken poutine is an awesome invention & the concept works really well. The staff are very friendly & welcoming. I totally recommend this spot!
Such a calm, open, & pleasant environment. The family who own this restaurant & serve you are so sweet & kind & accommodating. The food is delicious, we had the butter chicken & butter chicken poutine. The mango lassi is delicious too! This kind of food is generally outside my typical palette & comfort zone but I am definitely coming back for more! 💯💯🫶🏽
Absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was welcoming & the service was so friendly. We ate butter chicken, chana masala, chicken Biryani, samosa, golgappa (highly recommend!!), cheese cake, & masala chai (also highly recommend!). Everything to share with 4 friends. Will come here again next time I'm in Montreal.
The food was good, we ordered the butter chicken poutine, a samosa, Aloo paneer, & some Chai. The service wait time is quite long when they are busy so be aware of that. The atmosphere is very cozy with many decorations. Food is decent in its quantity & taste for the price you pay.

Probably the best butter chicken I've ever had. It's a family recipe that uses dark meat instead of white & is very tender as a result. The spices are perfect. Amazing! Try the garlic nan as well. Also, the Mango Lassi is delicious. I'll be back often.
I had a wonderful evening here! The server took care of my gluten allergy & recommended the right dishes. Had Chicken Malai Boti. It was excellent. Their mango lassi was really good. Hahaha, my friend ordered two of them!

The service was amazing to begin but the food wasn't . There is very little variety of food . We got chicken boti .there was some of the pieces were undercooked & we found hair in it , then we got butter paneer & It wasn't bad & the Chana masala was lacked masala cuz it was flavourlesss . The naan were so thick & weren't cooked properly . None of the dessert was tasty . All in all the service & atmosphere is good but not food
Absolutely thrilled with my experience at ChaiShai! The ambience & music create a fantastic atmosphere. The food is not only fresh but also incredibly delicious. My go-to is the Haryali Chicken paired with Garlic naan-a must-try combination. Wholeheartedly recommend ChaiShai to everyone!
Small portions, some of the chicken wraps are very dry. Nevertheless I must admit that the biryani rice is so aromatic & tasty as well as the onion pakoras. The staff is very friendly

Decided to check this place out over the weekend. Ordered Samosas, Kashmiri Chai, gulabjamun n gulabjamun cheesecake.
Was glad to see butter chicken poutine-sort of fusion Indo Québécois’s!

Update: The restaurant reached out to me & apologized for the food quality on account of new staff. They offered me a biryani on the house & it was a night & day difference. It was good. I was once again impressed with the polite & friendly staff. Looking forward to dining again.
This review is based on my recent takeout order of Biryani & mango lassi. I really wanted to like this place. The staff were very polite & had a smiling face. The ambience was cozy.
Unfortunately the food was subpar. The rice in biryani felt undercooked & hard. A worrying trend I've seen in another restaurant as well. No dish warrants hard rice. The chicken was so bland it gave a raw taste. Ironically the only saving grace was the low quantity which cut short my disappointment.
The mango lassi was ok. It's such a shame when your local restaurant turns out this way. I hope they listen to feedback & improve.
