About us
Maïko Sushi in Dollard-des-Ormeaux specializes in various sushi, it also offers salmon, calamari, filet mignon, chicken, Japanese soups with an egg base, and seaweed salad to name a few. Seated in a dining room emphasising blue tones and glass-encased lighting, novices and amateurs alike will love the delicacies of Maiki Sushi's oriental cuisine. Maïko Sushi's sushi bar is a big hit with diners who are partial to those multicoloured rolls. Small private rooms featuring traditional tatami mats, can also be reserved by groups of 6 to 10.

My second visit to this restaurant. First experience was better. Hostess was pleasant & we were seated in a very dark corner. Appreciated the quietness but not a fan of the'cave' like lighting. Our waiter Tony was nice but was such in a hurry, I could never finish a request without him darting off. We definitely felt rushed. Tempura appetizers were very good but the tentsuyu dipping sauce was not great & affected the enjoyment of the tempura. We ordered a variety of different maki & they were average. Some better than others. You can tell they were not made with care & likely rushed. Rice quality was also mediocre. There was rice falling from the maki as soon as you picked them up. Not sure why they are so busy but I guess people don't know any better. Won't be back as there are much better options elsewhere.View more

Was brought here for Father's Day. Definitely shows that the kids love me 😉. Everything was fantastic. Had some new rolls that the chef had just developed & they were fantastic. The rest of the food was also incredible.

The sushi's were amazing. Highly recommend the Khakhi-aghe specialty sushi roll, it was honestly so good. I was a bit unhappy with the first table we got, it was in a little corner so crowded & can barely move there. Your tables are almost stuck to the person beside you & just enough space for a person to slip in between. It was our anniversary & we were not expecting that. We kindly asked our server to move us & she did right away which was extremely appreciated. I think it was fair priced for the quality of the sushi & atmosphere. Would definitely go again but I'd make it clear when I call to reserve to not be sat in that little corner area.View more

Pretty underwhelmerd. Most of the Maki rolls tasted similar. Ordered a saporo beer, waiter brought me a large Asahi which he opened & poured. I realized after I took a big sip. Not a big deal but I also just wanted a regular sized beer.
Restaurant was packed, tables very close to each other, we were seated close to the entrance with people waiting for their seats & delivery services waiting for their takeaway orders.
Pretty expensive compared to other restaurants.View more

We went there for Mother's Day (5 people) the hostess was extremely cold & rude, our waitress, Mina was sweet. They put us at a table where 3 people fit & our food barely fit on the table. They took so much time to bring out our drinks & when we went it was early so It wasn't that busy. At first we asked the hostess if there would be any other table available, she was very rude in the way she answered to us & she just said'everything is booked' didn't even take a look in her log book. Anyways, she needs to get replaced since she's the first person someone sees & unfortunately she determines the rest of the dinneView more

Food is consistently solid. Fish is good, but not exceptional. Ambiance is warm & service is great. For non traditional sushi, it remains the best in the West Island.
Orders for takeout should be improved as the wait music is noise pollution & during busy times, one person answering the phone doesn't work.View more
