Maiko Sushi consistently delivers an exceptional sushi experience with stunning presentation and true culinary artistry, where the fish is unbelievably fresh and the rice is seasoned to perfection. Guests praise high quality ingredients, creative maki options, and sashimi variety, alongside a luxurious yet inviting ambience and attentive, friendly service. The atmosphere is described as stylish and sophisticated, though the space can feel crowded and the prices may be high for some, reflecting the premium quality. Overall, the reviews unite around top notch sushi, flawless presentation, and memorable dining, making Maiko Sushi a standout choice for special nights.
Do not come here if you're looking for authentic good sushi at a reasonable price. The food was good (maybe 3.5-4/5) but the price is around double to triple what the quality would warrant. The service was poor & we struggled to get any server's attention. The appetizer took an hour to arrive, & there was a 20 minute gap between us finishing the appetizer & the main course sushi arriving. Sad state of affairs.
My 1st time visiting Maiko Sushi turned out to be one of the very best sushi experience we ever had. From top to bottom the service was excellent, great atmosphere from the very 1st step into the restaurant & of course wonderful food prepared by chef Trang. Thank you so much for your hospitality. ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️
In short used to be great & now just blah. The sashimi was thin like paper the sushi a tiny little sliver. The lobster bone marrow appetizer was overcooked lobster in a fat juice with unrecognizable marrow. The tempura shrimp was petrified to the point there was more crisp of the batter in the sauce then on the shrimp. Not to mention the shrinkflatiron
architecturally interesting , this is not a Japanese Sushi Restaurant.. the food has nothing to do with Sushi ... the atmosphere & acoustic was intolerable ... sad to have had the experience... i love Japanese cuisine ... this is an attempt at an izikaya style bar with bar food... service was horrible .... best advice is to avoid
Love coming to Maiko sushi especially for the lunch specials, sushi is always fresh, tastes amazing, consistent & I've never been disappointed. Quality of the food is on the much higher end, it's worth the price, the miso soup is amazing along with the 911 rolls. Service is always very consistent, friendly & amazing. They really go the extra mile on presentation, it's always such a treat! The restaurant is beautiful, such a nice atmosphere, very welcoming, & upscale. I'm a regular here & always coming back! Try the lunch specials, the sushi bouquet is totally worth the price & you get a delicious miso soup & salad with it!
As always Maiko did not disappoint. While they have undergone "shrinkflation," the flavour is still Incredible. The rolls are definitely smaller than they used to be, but would still highly recommend. You won't be disappointed. We got our sushi to go & enjoyed it out in the sunshine.
One of my all time favourite sushi restaurants in the west island!! I've been here many times & it always delivers amazing fresh food & great service. The interior of the restaurant is fabulous & is great for a fancy night out. I always have to order their Khaki-Aghe & their popcorn roll. They're so different & full of unique flavours of sushi. I tried their fried banana dessert for the first time & all i can say is WAW
