Maïko Sushi in Dollard-des-Ormeaux specializes in various sushi, it also offers salmon, calamari, filet mignon, chicken, Japanese soups with an egg base, and seaweed salad to name a few. Seated in a dining room emphasising blue tones and glass-encased lighting, novices and amateurs alike will love the delicacies of Maiki Sushi's oriental cuisine. Maïko Sushi's sushi bar is a big hit with diners who are partial to those multicoloured rolls. Small private rooms featuring traditional tatami mats, can also be reserved by groups of 6 to 10.
Maiko Sushi emerges as a standout sushi destination with consistently fresh fish, beautiful presentation, and a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. Guests praise the chef's artistry and a range of memorable creations, with signature rolls and the omakase earning top marks for flavor and craft. The service is described as warm, professional, and attentive, contributing to a dining experience that feels special even when the restaurant is busy. Reservations are often advised to secure a table, as the place tends to fill up, and the ambiance with high ceilings and elegant decor enhances the meal. While a few notes mention occasional long waits, louder music, and a higher price point, the overall impression of Maiko Sushi is a premier sushi experience with reliable quality, generous portions, and consistent excellence that keeps diners returning.
As always Maiko did not disappoint. While they have undergone "shrinkflation," the flavour is still Incredible. The rolls are definitely smaller than they used to be, but would still highly recommend. You won't be disappointed. We got our sushi to go & enjoyed it out in the sunshine.

One of my all time favourite sushi restaurants in the west island!! I've been here many times & it always delivers amazing fresh food & great service. The interior of the restaurant is fabulous & is great for a fancy night out. I always have to order their Khaki-Aghe & their popcorn roll. They're so different & full of unique flavours of sushi. I tried their fried banana dessert for the first time & all i can say is WAW
My in-laws decided to order from there for a birthday party. We have ordered takout on numerous occasions from Maiko, & it has always been impeccable. However, I got very sick last night. I'll spare the details, but the night was quite short. We mostly shared all orders the night before, but I was the only one who tried the amberjack makis, so I assume they may have been the culprits. Whatever it was, I'm still paying for it. I like the place, & we may go back at some point, but it won't be for tomorrow or anytime soon.
Delicious, beautifully served sushi. The restaurant is nicely decorated, cozy ambiance yet a little too dark. Perfect place for a date or a business meeting (if next to the window). Minuses: - Pricey; - Booking in advance didn't work out, they called back & asked to choose either 5 pm or 8.30 pm (original time was supposed to be 7 p.m.) - A little too crowded even tho we went on a regular Wednesday, better to come before 7.30 pm. - The service was a bit slow, however very friendly & quite attentive. - The menu has no photos, easy to get lost in all the names & descriptions, so we just asked for the staff's recommendations. Overall, a pleasant experience, worth visiting on a special occasion (otherwise will bite ur wallet).

One of the best. For a better experience, try the expensive options. It's pricy but worth it. However, not everything is expensive; last time I went on a budget & ate well by opting for some normal sushi. Parking available.
Overall, this is a pretty busy restaurant with okay food. I found that the sushi is very expensive for basically mediocre quality sushi. They put some effort into the presentation of the sushi, & it's fresh; but the rice is dry, & the fish isn't that flavourful. Prepandemic you could get a nice chef platter of sushi for 35$ (18 pieces), post pandemic I paid about 140$ for 32 pieces of sushi. I wouldn't recommend this place. Paying premium prices for mediocre sushi. The restaurant was also super loud & packed, & it took a long time to get service.
Great food , great ambiance & amazing service. Top sushi experience. Had the opportunity to speak with the owner. She is such a nice lady & very genuine. She takes pride in what she serves & ensure everything is made to perfection.
My absolute favourite sushi restaurant in Montreal. My friend & I go every Friday for lunch & the service & food is always incredible. I highly recommend maiko sushi!

Rice in the sushi was high quality. The sashimi was fresh & tasty. The rolls where great as well. We went for the shared chef's choice & it was 65 pieces & soup for 4 people. It was enough food but we also took some entrees, if we had not it might have not been enough.
Went with a big group, we were seated in a cute long table. Food was absolutely delicious & the presentation was top notch, so carefully crafted. The sushi was melting on my tongue & it's probably the best sushi I've ever had! Definitely recommend this place for high end sushi & overall food. Service was quick & very attentive.
This order cost $130 +tax+tip, totally about $180. We were lucky to get a seat. When we decided to eat sushi on the road, they required to reserve a week before. We took a chance to get there, then either bar or aside small table, all around were many empty tables about 6pm. We couldn't figure out those fancy name's on the menu at the dark room, no pictures. Only way to do choosing two persons order. It has three kind of sashimi, each kind three pieces. The rolls' taste I will say that were better than the most other sushi restaurant in Montreal, fresh & tasty. The service was great & helpful, the atmosphere was amazing. Beautiful design each plate by my looking around. Also found the other table had the same as us to have a selecting difficulty. When we finished, those empty tables were almost full of people, but I didn't see any oriental faces. I couldn't figure out why so much favourite for the western young people like this place, it was my Friday experience to be there.
