Maïko Sushi in Dollard-des-Ormeaux specializes in various sushi, it also offers salmon, calamari, filet mignon, chicken, Japanese soups with an egg base, and seaweed salad to name a few. Seated in a dining room emphasising blue tones and glass-encased lighting, novices and amateurs alike will love the delicacies of Maiki Sushi's oriental cuisine. Maïko Sushi's sushi bar is a big hit with diners who are partial to those multicoloured rolls. Small private rooms featuring traditional tatami mats, can also be reserved by groups of 6 to 10.
Maiko Sushi emerges as a standout sushi destination with consistently fresh fish, beautiful presentation, and a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. Guests praise the chef's artistry and a range of memorable creations, with signature rolls and the omakase earning top marks for flavor and craft. The service is described as warm, professional, and attentive, contributing to a dining experience that feels special even when the restaurant is busy. Reservations are often advised to secure a table, as the place tends to fill up, and the ambiance with high ceilings and elegant decor enhances the meal. While a few notes mention occasional long waits, louder music, and a higher price point, the overall impression of Maiko Sushi is a premier sushi experience with reliable quality, generous portions, and consistent excellence that keeps diners returning.
Amazing, was there friday night got fantastic service from Will ( I'm sure it's his name had cool tattoos) Gave us fantastic service . Nice to see people are good at what they do. If you go to Mako ask for Will.
Excellent Japanese food. The grilled eel is particularly tasty & tender. The see urchin & the yellowtail are well worth it as well. Large selection of cocktails & wines offered. Food presentation is beautiful & service is very helpful!
Has been many times in the past & last visit was a big letdown. The food quality has deteriorated both in terms of portion & taste. When brought up to the waiter, it was dealt with in a manner to indicate we were lying. Luckily we had the picture from previous visits which eventually convinced the waiter. The whole process feels like they just are either ignorant about what their signature dishes should be, or don't really care. Very disappointing... used to be our go-to place.
Service could be more welcoming. It's as if I was doing the waiters a favor by coming to eat here. The food was decent, but Maiko was much better before.

The way Maiko continues to elevate the sushi & the culinary experience is remarkable. Not only is the seafood consistently top quality, Maiko has not compromised with the presentation of each dish with edible flowers, fruits, & sauces to delight the senses, unlike many of my favorite restaurants post C-19. All the appetizers on menu are amazing, & like a rookie, we always order too many. What I love about Maiko is that there are always new fabulous dishes added along with my favorites. Fusion that transcends & makes Japanese cuisine that much better. We make the trekk from TO regularly for the fabulous food, great vibes, & Maiko experience. This time we had a celebration & went all out with lycee mojitos to start, & Alaskan theme everything, including Alaskan crab salade, cakes, & rolls. They were out of this world. Then, we had to try a few new menu items like the raw oysters & bone marrow lobster. OMG! I can not even. Those that can not eat raw had the black cod, & it was grilled to such buttery perfection, we ate every last morsel of flakey yumminest.
This is definitely my favorite Japanese restaurant West Island. Most of the staff are very helpful & friendly. My favorite is Les perles. It's very sophisticated.
I've been coming here for 15+ years. Always wonderful. Fresh ingredients, such creative flavour combinations, beautiful presentations, & fantastic service.
Favorite sushi in montreal. Amazing specialities. We've been going there since 2012. Been doing a lot of pickup especially since covid, this time Went with wife & the kids. Kids loved it Ordered all the classics we used to order: des sources, delices Maiko (favorite), grilled lobster & this time tried for first time the new grilled lobster : sublime. Always a pleasure to try their sushi
Very average sushi, overpriced, loud & noisy. Ok place to have a dinner party but not a date. We had the omakase which did not even contain nigiri as opposite to what was written. The bluefin tuna was better than average neighborhood sushis but that's about it. The salmon carpaccio was an interesting find. But the rest of the plate felt like a « good » neighborhood take out sushi for 2x the plate.

Arguably the best sushi in Montreal. Very fresh & well prepared. Lots of options & great appetizers including the sushi pizza & veggie tempura. The atmosphere is nice, but a bit loud. Staff is very friendly & accommodating.
Food is good but it's not the same Maiko like a few years ago. The quality of the sushi is not the same...very little fish, no tempura replaced by rice krispee & not very well rolled. Ambiance is great
