Maïko Sushi in Dollard-des-Ormeaux specializes in various sushi, it also offers salmon, calamari, filet mignon, chicken, Japanese soups with an egg base, and seaweed salad to name a few. Seated in a dining room emphasising blue tones and glass-encased lighting, novices and amateurs alike will love the delicacies of Maiki Sushi's oriental cuisine. Maïko Sushi's sushi bar is a big hit with diners who are partial to those multicoloured rolls. Small private rooms featuring traditional tatami mats, can also be reserved by groups of 6 to 10.
Maiko Sushi emerges as a standout sushi destination with consistently fresh fish, beautiful presentation, and a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. Guests praise the chef's artistry and a range of memorable creations, with signature rolls and the omakase earning top marks for flavor and craft. The service is described as warm, professional, and attentive, contributing to a dining experience that feels special even when the restaurant is busy. Reservations are often advised to secure a table, as the place tends to fill up, and the ambiance with high ceilings and elegant decor enhances the meal. While a few notes mention occasional long waits, louder music, and a higher price point, the overall impression of Maiko Sushi is a premier sushi experience with reliable quality, generous portions, and consistent excellence that keeps diners returning.
Meilleur restaurant de sushi en ville. Tout est toujours excellent. Nous y allons plusieurs fois par année & nous ne sommes jamais déçu!! Allez s'y au moins une fois !
I have been a regular patron of this restaurant since 2010. During a recent visit I had a subpar experience on several levels, however. Without going into detail, the restaurant was clearly having a very bad night. I had a talk with the management about my experience & they acknowledged the problem & accepted full responsibility. When you pay a certain price for something it is normal to have a reasonable expectation of standards & quality. When that is what you get you know nothing more. It is when something goes wrong & needs to be addressed that you truly find out who you are dealing with. In reflecting on the experience & the response I received it is abundantly clear that even after all these years Maiko Sushi cares a great deal about remaining a top provider. Highest recommendation.

Idéal pour sortir de sa zone de confort en testant des sushis & autres plats aux saveurs repensées. L'ensemble est goûteux & bien présenté. Évitez les sauces décoratives pour apprécier pleinement le goût des ingrédients.
Amazing staff! We had a young gentleman waiter. He was very attentive, knew his stuff & made great recommendations. Food was fresh & delicious! & what a pretty restaurant. Especially like the big pink tree.
This is hands down one of the best sushi restaurants I've ever been to. The fish was incredibly fresh & the rolls were expertly crafted. Everything from the service to the presentation was top-notch. If you're looking for a truly special sushi experience, I can't recommend this place enough!

Maiko Sushi is a beautiful place with a great ambiance, & I really enjoy the vibe. The menu has some good makis that stand out compared to other places, but I find the flavors a bit repetitive. While some pieces were really tasty, others didn't hit the mark, so the overall experience felt a bit uneven. The presentation, though, is stunning-everything is plated like a work of art. In fact, I'd say the presentation is better than the taste for SOME sushi rolls (not all, of course). If you're looking for sushi that looks amazing & tastes good, Maiko is a solid choice, BUT for the price, there are places that deliver more, in my opinion.
The food as usual was fantastic but I saw several people , myself included using their phone flashlight to be able to see the menu & the food when it arrives. They always have a beautiful presentation of the food but it's so dark you can barely cannot see it. Our food also did not come with wasabi & with very little ginger & asked for more only to get charged for it at the end. That's really strange to me. Also would be great if the omakase was offered per person & not only 2 or 4. Overall again the food was good but the lighting was just terrible

I don't live in the area, but when I get the chance to try some good fried chicken or a really great ramen soup, I don't hesitate to stop by & satisfy that craving. Excellent service as always, along with great food.
We had such an exquisite dinner at this restaurant. The seafood was fresh & of great quality & the rice had a well balanced vinegary taste to it which made the sushi taste amazing while not overpowering the flavours of the other ingredients. The soya sauce was also delicious, a nice balance between sweet & salty which added onto the experience. The service was also great. The waiter was patient, friendly & quite polite which made the evening more enjoyable. Please do note that it did take us around an hour after we sat down at our table to get our food. The little things that did take us out a bit during the meal was probably the ceiling with all the ventilation running through that can be easily seen & the loudness of the music. Even though there were already a lot of customers talking, the loud music made it even harder to speak with each other at our own table. Finally, the price was a bit high in my opinion. It was 130$ for the omakase set for 2 people & 260$ for 4. I don't mind paying more but I would have loved to see a couple of sushi with some more expensive cuts like fatty tuna or scallops. We mostly only got rolls which felt a bit more boring to me but they still tasted great. The lobster dish though was quite adventurous & exquisite in taste which was refreshing in the meal.
