I was at Maiko Sushi this evening, very very disappointed. I used to go to Maiko on Bernard. Haven't been to the one on Sources for a long time, & I will never go back again.
Menu has changed, prices have gone up. Food was good, but the music was so loud, it was like sitting in a bar downtown. I was out with 2 other couples, but we could not talk at all. I ordered a glass of wine & after awhile I wanted another one but it was impossible to get the attention of our server. I asked the waitress that was filling up our glasses with water, but it never happened.
When I go out with other people I like to relax & talk to the people I am with.
I am not Interested in listening to this disco music.
Maiko sushi will never see me again or the people I was with.
Very Very Disapointed
Nous sommes clients de ce restau depuis son ouverture. Quelle ne fut pas notre surprise de constater que le menu a complètement changé. Avant on prenait toujours les diners Maiko à un prix vraiment raisonnable, mais là ça devient inabordable, même si la qualité reste exceptionnelle. Alors je ne crois pas qu'on y revienne aussi souvent, dommage pour nous & le restau.
Je connais votre resto depuis un bon bout, service était un peu délaisser avec notre serveur, à fallu redemander pour de l'eau & les tables sont trop proches les unes des autres alors on peut entendre les conversations des autres ... pas très privé !
Je prend presque tout le temps les sushis Homard Grillés mais s'en viennent de plus en plus petites & les morceaux de homard aussi ... pour le prix je m'attend d'avoir des gros sushis ... déçue de ma visite cette fois ci 😢

the place was full & they respect our reservation. Great resto for modern Sushi .
Had an employable evening .The food was delicious & the service was awesome. I would definitely recommend Maiko for any occasion except a romantic dinner if you want to have a romantic conversation as it does get quite loud.l would recommend some relaxing authentic music rather than the upbeat music we experienced...by the way I do like upbeat music.....when I dance not to enjoy a delicious meal .
Delicieux comme toujours. Les spécialités Kaki Aghe & Volcano sont super, croquant & moelleux avec la mayo épicée. Eclairage est un peu trop tamisé le soir & le choix de musique électro ne favorise pas trop la discussion & est un peu énervante.
I made a reservation one week in advance requesting a bench table away from the main entrance & what I got was the exact table I NEVER WANTED TO HAVE right in front of the main door where every time the front door opens, everybody freeze completely. For a restaurant this expensive, for the hostess to tell you it's ''this table or wait for another hour'', it does not make it any different from any ''all you can eat'' sushi places. VERY DISSAPOINTING. My reservation was at 19:30 & we received the food on the table TWO HOURS later.
