Food was delicious, ambiance was great & the waiter was terrific. We asked him to « make our menu » & he brought us one yummy dish after another. Definitely going back!
Very good sushi! Bustling on a Wednesday night! Sushi was fresh & very tasteful! Rice was just right.
Overall a great go to sushi place on the West Island.

Food was very good however service was a little slow. We were a party of 5 & most sushi rolls we ordered were 4 pieces...so someone was always left out. We asked to make larger rolls to accommodate our group but to no avail. We also booked two weeks in advance only to be given the worst table in the house right by the door.
Hao is an outstanding waiter - always has great recommendations, very professional & engaging with his customers. He repeatedly makes my experience @ Maiko a memorable one
The food was great HOWEVER the long wait to get served & receive our meal was unbelievable ..Someone should reorganize the process in the kitchen..as Take out orders seem to take precedence over in house guests..it's not normal to have to wait a half hour to get served & then an hour to receive our meal..most of the tables around us were complaining about the slow service as well..it can be a real showstoppe
As we were leaving the restaurant I turned to my husband & said that I couldn't believe that we had never come here before. We go out to eat at least twice a week & living on the West Island we had never been here before. Incredible. The place is incredible. We had the fresh oysters, followed by a sushi roll, scallop with foie gras & red snapper. Had a bottle of saki & fried ice cream. Every thing was super & our young waiter helped us out by recommending the red snapper which was a special & not on the menu. We will definitely be going back. My only recommendation would be to have a little bit more brightness. It's so dark that you need the torch on your phone to read the menu.
Amazing place! One of my favorites that I go to very often. Unfortunately, I went this past Saturday & I waited 2 hours for my sushi... the only thing that is disappointing.
Great food as usual!
The lighting in the restaurant is too dim for the time of the day.
A bit surprising was that we received our soup & our salads at the same time, even before the starter that we had ordered to share; the table was bursting with dishes for us to try & eat & get out of the way.
The waiter forgot to place half our table order & we had to flag someone down to let them know since one of us already received our hot order & was waiting for we were waiting for the sushi dish to show up to start eating together. In order not to have the hot meal go cold, one of us was eating alone until the sushi arrived.
A bit disappointing service wise but still the best sushi in town.
