Maïko Sushi in Dollard-des-Ormeaux specializes in various sushi, it also offers salmon, calamari, filet mignon, chicken, Japanese soups with an egg base, and seaweed salad to name a few. Seated in a dining room emphasising blue tones and glass-encased lighting, novices and amateurs alike will love the delicacies of Maiki Sushi's oriental cuisine. Maïko Sushi's sushi bar is a big hit with diners who are partial to those multicoloured rolls. Small private rooms featuring traditional tatami mats, can also be reserved by groups of 6 to 10.
Maiko Sushi emerges as a standout sushi destination with consistently fresh fish, beautiful presentation, and a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. Guests praise the chef's artistry and a range of memorable creations, with signature rolls and the omakase earning top marks for flavor and craft. The service is described as warm, professional, and attentive, contributing to a dining experience that feels special even when the restaurant is busy. Reservations are often advised to secure a table, as the place tends to fill up, and the ambiance with high ceilings and elegant decor enhances the meal. While a few notes mention occasional long waits, louder music, and a higher price point, the overall impression of Maiko Sushi is a premier sushi experience with reliable quality, generous portions, and consistent excellence that keeps diners returning.
Merci!

Clean, nicely decorated. A thorough sanitizing of tables between customers, All employees wearing masks properly at all times & sanitizing regularly. I felt it was a safe environment. Excellent food, beautifully presented. Although a bit noisy. Our host placed us in a alcove which was a bit quieter, but if you have someone with a hearing impairment, it will be challenging for them. Overall great experience. Book in advance!
My family has been dining at Maiko for several years now but we have found that the atmosphere & the value for money has deteriorated. It is doubtful we will be returning; there are other asian restaurants across Montreal with similar price menus & better quality dishes. On a seperate note, I cannot understand why a chef would put so much lemon peel on a plate; it is pretty, sure, but completely inedible & thus totally unnecessary!
The service was also extremely slow, although I understand it was a sunday evening. The waitresses were nice, albeit somewhat disorganized.
Food was amazing but service was very very slow. We got our main meal close to 10 pm for our 7:30 reservation. I told the waiter that it was my husband's birthday when he arrived & nothing was done & my waiter was nowhere to be found after we finished our main course.
My friend & I went for a weekday lunch. The restaurant is spacious, very nicely decorated & follows every protocol so you enjoy your meal & feel very safe. The menu is extensive; offers many items for non-sushi lovers as well as vegans. Our food was beautifully presented, tasted delicious & was reasonably priced. The service was exceptional; our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable & helpful. We enjoyed a wonderful meal & a long chat without ever feeling rushed. I recommend you make reservations; it is a very popular restaurant!
Great restaurant with great food & service. The only issue I had was that when I reserved online the confirmation I received confirmed the reservation but also had a statement that stated because of COVID the restaurant was closed. This caused me to call the restaurant to confirm that is was truly open. This statement should be removed!!!!
