Maïko Sushi in Dollard-des-Ormeaux specializes in various sushi, it also offers salmon, calamari, filet mignon, chicken, Japanese soups with an egg base, and seaweed salad to name a few. Seated in a dining room emphasising blue tones and glass-encased lighting, novices and amateurs alike will love the delicacies of Maiki Sushi's oriental cuisine. Maïko Sushi's sushi bar is a big hit with diners who are partial to those multicoloured rolls. Small private rooms featuring traditional tatami mats, can also be reserved by groups of 6 to 10.
Maiko Sushi emerges as a standout sushi destination with consistently fresh fish, beautiful presentation, and a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. Guests praise the chef's artistry and a range of memorable creations, with signature rolls and the omakase earning top marks for flavor and craft. The service is described as warm, professional, and attentive, contributing to a dining experience that feels special even when the restaurant is busy. Reservations are often advised to secure a table, as the place tends to fill up, and the ambiance with high ceilings and elegant decor enhances the meal. While a few notes mention occasional long waits, louder music, and a higher price point, the overall impression of Maiko Sushi is a premier sushi experience with reliable quality, generous portions, and consistent excellence that keeps diners returning.
Great sushi specialities but service was super slow & quite sloppy. We had to ask for water & some dishes were forgotten from our order. I understand mistakes happen but an apology would have been appreciated.

Excellent food & good service. Music is too loud, though. Makes having a conversation at the table with friends difficult. Best Japanese food in town, so worth it nonetheless.

Portions now much smaller than before for entrees . Plates are massive & misleading for presentation . Unnecessary in my opinion especially that now portions are so much smaller in size . Staff not attentive & when it came time to pay the bill waiter was aggressive & a bit rude without a thank you for coming to restaurant . After all this isn't McDonald's . Staff needs a bit more training there . They aren't doing us a favour but the reverse ! Food was still good but I feel the value isn't there as before .
September 2nd 2022 Can't argue on Maiko sushi quality but seems they prefer servicing pick up orders than in house patrons. We have been going out for years & this is the first time I left 0$ as tip We got our appetizers & one maki roll in good time but then nothing. Yes resto was full but they had people on floor waiting on table but seems we fell in noware land. Pick up orders we're going out the door like crazy but after 90 min we took our bill & left. Our waiter told us he put a rush on our order. How can this be as mentioned we got there before the rush.

Lovely restaurant, lovely decor. We had the platter for 2 - it was beautifully displayed & tasty, but honestly, 32 pieces not worth $120. Bump it up to 40 pieces.
