Guests praise high quality ingredients, creative maki options, and sashimi variety, alongside a luxurious yet inviting ambience and attentive, friendly service. The atmosphere is described as stylish and sophisticated, though the space can feel crowded and the prices may be high for some, reflecting the premium quality. Overall, the reviews unite around top notch sushi, flawless presentation, and memorable dining, making Maiko Sushi a standout choice for special nights.
I have been coming to Maiko since its opening, rarely making reservations. This time, I reserved a specific table near the window for lunch at 11:45 am. I arrived promptly & told someone else booked the table. I suggested another table by the window several times during the conversation. The young lady insisted ALL the tables by the windows were reserved. Some of the tables by the window were still not in use an hour & twenty minutes later when my guest & I were leaving. The young lady was absent from the front desk, so I could not point this out to her. Please give better customer service to your hostesses. As always, the food was great, & the servers were fantastic.
Excellent food, great staff - friendly & helpful. Really good vibe, you forget that there is a parking lot on the other side of the windows. Highly recommend.

I am a regular at Maiko, despite being seated at 6pm on a Wednesday the service has been slow in between our orders & it hinders the flow of the dinner. It took 1.5 hrs to be served 2 dishes. This has happened on 3 occasions since January.
I don't recommend ordering the Foie gras maki Dish. It's 24$ for absolutely nothing special. It hurts the pocket.
Of course this is our favorite sushi spot. But I feel like this feedback is important.
Le meilleur restaurant de sushi !
Les ingrédients sont toujours frais & de première qualité. La présentation & le service sont impeccables. Depuis plus de 20 ans, c'est notre choix de restaursant pour tout évènement & jamais nous avons été déçus!

The food is very good as usual but the value for price & service remain an issue at Maiko. Pricing has risen more than other restaurants yet they frequent sub out ingredients for cheaper options without warning (often putting cucumber when the roll should have avocado). It's one of the best options west of Montreal but most people agree that it's taken a turn for the worse in the last 5 years.
My family went to celebrate Mother's Day on Saturday, May 13, 2023 & the food was delicious & the service was friendly & great. This restaurant is now on our favourites list & we will return soon.
