Service was excellent except I think the young man was new perhaps. Asked for a tomato juice & he brought me clamato. I sent it back. Then he brought our bill without us asking. 5 minutes later he checked to see if there was money in the folder or a credit card. It made us feel rushed to leave & it was 1:30. We know you close at 2:30 so we felt we had plenty of time to catch up on life. Not impressed. Hopefully he will grow with experience. Certainly will come back as we have been customers for a very long time! The food is always excellent!
We were in a table gir 2 behind hostess desk. Soooo noisy & loud from speaker right there. Impossible yo talk without raising your voice - which everyone does- making it even noisier. Food amazing as always.
Awful experience. We asked for a quiet table & we're stuck on a busy corner. We waited an hour & a half for our food to arrive. A party of 10 who were seated after us were served before us & left before our meal was done. Clearly we weren't of interest to our server. The food the server recommended was too sweet & everything tasted the same. Very disappointed. We won't return.

Great atmosphere &, more importantly, extremely professional service by each of their employees, who went above & beyond to make me comfortable. I called in almost at closing time yet they still entertained me & the food got served surprisingly fast as well. As for the food, the tempura fried shrimp appetizer which included some tempura fried vegetables like kakiage as well, was close to perfect. The seared salmon was quite nice too, with a good sized serving. All in all, it was an excellent experience.
The food was great. We usually have a great time at Maiko. But this time it was disappointing mostly because of the service.
It was my mother's birthday, & I had asked the hostess in advance to make sure our waiter brings out something special for my mom at the end of the meal. & I also planned out the devision of the bill in advance with the hostess to avoid an uncomfortable situation at the end of the meal, knowing my family (I asked for it to be split in a way that my mom's bill would be on us). She assured me she would communicate that to our waiter & that it will all be done.
We sat down at the table at 6pm & it took 40 mins exactly before the waiter even got a chance to take our meal order. I can understand that service can take longer if the restaurant is understaffed, but a simple heads up would have made the whole difference.
Once we did order, the food came out pretty quick which made up for it.
However, at the end of the meal, nothing was brought out to celebrate my mom's birthday like promised by the hostess. & when we asked for the bills the waiter brought out one bill for the whole table. It was pretty frustrating considering I was told not worry & it would all be taken care of as requested.

I was somewhat disappointed with your sashimi. The waiter did not explain the different fish that I was served.
Your specialty is obviously' ‘des plats cuisinés', not necessarily what I was looking for.
A terrific atmosphere with a friendly staff, a beautiful restaurant & even more beautiful food. It's as good as it is pretty (if not more so). They make a killer martini & the sushi/maki/sashimi dinner for 2 is just the right amount of food. Fair pricing. I recommend it BUT make sure to make reservations.
