Maïko Sushi in Dollard-des-Ormeaux specializes in various sushi, it also offers salmon, calamari, filet mignon, chicken, Japanese soups with an egg base, and seaweed salad to name a few. Seated in a dining room emphasising blue tones and glass-encased lighting, novices and amateurs alike will love the delicacies of Maiki Sushi's oriental cuisine. Maïko Sushi's sushi bar is a big hit with diners who are partial to those multicoloured rolls. Small private rooms featuring traditional tatami mats, can also be reserved by groups of 6 to 10.
Maiko Sushi emerges as a standout sushi destination with consistently fresh fish, beautiful presentation, and a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. Guests praise the chef's artistry and a range of memorable creations, with signature rolls and the omakase earning top marks for flavor and craft. The service is described as warm, professional, and attentive, contributing to a dining experience that feels special even when the restaurant is busy. Reservations are often advised to secure a table, as the place tends to fill up, and the ambiance with high ceilings and elegant decor enhances the meal. While a few notes mention occasional long waits, louder music, and a higher price point, the overall impression of Maiko Sushi is a premier sushi experience with reliable quality, generous portions, and consistent excellence that keeps diners returning.
Merci, Isabelle
The service was slow, but I am aware that it was a Saturday night & the restaurant was VERY crowded. Our serving staff did as good a job as they could, but there were long gaps where we were waiting for food.
Service was great. Except when I asked for a bottle of sparkling water. Bringing me the most expensive bottle versus the San Pellegrino that was served to the table beside us was not necessary & left a negative feeling to the experience.
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday & it was my first time trying it. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of the experience, food, service, ambiance. Whoever created the menu is an artist. The food was incredible both in taste & in presentation. I can't wait to go back.

Nice ambiance, but very crowded & had to wait 30 minutes passing our reservation time. Then 45 more minutes for our order. The food was quite expensive but enjoyable.
We were very disappointed for the first time after years of coming there. We had to wait 30 minutes four our table even if we had a reservation when there were clearly some tables empty in the restaurant. Then we had to wait 15 minutes for a waiter to come & an additional 45 minutes to get our sushi. We started eating at almost 10 pm when we had an 830 pm reservation. At that point, we were practically being rushed to leave because the restaurant was closing. I'm so sorry for the staff because they were all working very hard but we were overall not impressed as we usually are.
Probably the worst dining experience of my entire life. Sitting at our table for 20 minutes before the waitress even came over to see us. Almost an hour to get our first plate. Another 30 minutes to get our second plate which was terribly presented (sushi roll falling apart). Maiko used to be great but it seems their service has fallen apart. Will not be going back.
