Maïko Sushi in Dollard-des-Ormeaux specializes in various sushi, it also offers salmon, calamari, filet mignon, chicken, Japanese soups with an egg base, and seaweed salad to name a few. Seated in a dining room emphasising blue tones and glass-encased lighting, novices and amateurs alike will love the delicacies of Maiki Sushi's oriental cuisine. Maïko Sushi's sushi bar is a big hit with diners who are partial to those multicoloured rolls. Small private rooms featuring traditional tatami mats, can also be reserved by groups of 6 to 10.
Maiko Sushi emerges as a standout sushi destination with consistently fresh fish, beautiful presentation, and a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. Guests praise the chef's artistry and a range of memorable creations, with signature rolls and the omakase earning top marks for flavor and craft. The service is described as warm, professional, and attentive, contributing to a dining experience that feels special even when the restaurant is busy. Reservations are often advised to secure a table, as the place tends to fill up, and the ambiance with high ceilings and elegant decor enhances the meal. While a few notes mention occasional long waits, louder music, and a higher price point, the overall impression of Maiko Sushi is a premier sushi experience with reliable quality, generous portions, and consistent excellence that keeps diners returning.
I found the essential foods like the fish, crab & avocado to be scarce not to mention the prices have gone up.. My Alaskan salad had scant pieces of avocado & crab & for 25$ was not worth it.. I don't mind you raising your prices but at least keep the portions the same... to charge more & to give less is totally unfair to the consumer... was very disappointed last night & so was my friend... might not return...
Good & service was excellent.
My only complaint was the noise level. The fact that the ceilings are so high & no fabric to absorb the acoustic, makes it very loud
Food is always great at Maiko but last night the delay in getting our main course was more then 1 hour & our waiter was not very focus & even forget to order 1 of the item & since we waited more then 1 hour between the entre we cancelled the plate .
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Miko Sushi in Montreal, & it was truly a remarkable experience. My cousin, who is a local, recommended this gem, & I must say it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance of Miko Sushi set the stage for an unforgettable evening. The sleek & modern décor, coupled with the subtle Japanese-inspired elements, created a welcoming & sophisticated atmosphere. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food. Miko Sushi delivered an extraordinary culinary journey that left my taste buds dancing with joy. The freshness & quality of the ingredients were apparent in every bite. From the melt-in-your-mouth sashimi to the intricately crafted rolls, each dish showcased the chef's expertise & dedication to perfection. The menu offered a delightful variety, appealing to both sushi enthusiasts & those looking to explore new flavors. The service at Miko Sushi was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly, & knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to offer recommendations & ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was enjoyable. The attention to detail, from the presentation of the dishes to the timing of each course, added to the overall sense of refinement. While Miko Sushi undoubtedly stands out as a high-end sushi establishment, it's worth noting that the prices reflect the quality of the ingredients & the skill involved in crafting each dish. While on the higher end, the dining experience at Miko Sushi is undoubtedly worth the investment for a special occasion or when craving an exceptional sushi experience. In conclusion, Miko Sushi in Montreal is a culinary haven for sushi enthusiasts & anyone seeking an elevated dining experience. The delicious food, excellent service, & sophisticated ambiance make it a standout choice, even with the slightly higher price point. I highly recommend Miko Sushi for a memorable & indulgent dining experience in the heart of Montreal.
It's one of the best a la Carte sushi restaurants I've ever been; a little expensive but worth the money, delicious sushi, rich ingredients, & very fresh. I will surely go there again
Very mediocre Japanese food especially for the price. The plating is beautiful but the rice was dry & flavourless it makes it that much more disappointing. The seafood itself was just ok... Montreal is just not very good at Asian food. But the service was top notch & the ambiance very nice. Price is rip off category.

The service was great. The food was absolutely fantastic. The giozas, seared Tuna & scallops appetizers were great. Though the scallops were not full size scallops but rather small slices of scallops. Had the filet mignon & it was really tasty with a bunch of delicious veggies on the side. Overall it was a great experience. Ironically I didn't try much sushi so I can't comment on that, but the rest was great.
Top top quality sushi. Not your average good sushi. Real lobster, real crab. Best fish imported from Japan. We had this cold sake that you won't find anywhere & it just blew our minds. No doubt it is expensive but if you eat here you understand why.
The sushi rolls are just unappetizingly way too big !
The tempura vegetables are thickly cut & also way too over battered.
Huge portions are not what a sushi delicacy once had at Maiko are now.
Lighting was way too bright & not dimmed like before.
Service was slow
Maiko was once a very high end sushi experience & now is just about average
Very unfortunate
as usual, everything was excellent from the food to the service to the ambience. I was just very disappointed when the table I had reserved for 7pm had been given to someone else who had arrived 5 mins before me. I arrived on time. ☹️ So I had to be seated in a noisier section.
