As we were leaving the restaurant I turned to my husband & said that I couldn't believe that we had never come here before. We go out to eat at least twice a week & living on the West Island we had never been here before. Incredible. The place is incredible. We had the fresh oysters, followed by a sushi roll, scallop with foie gras & red snapper. Had a bottle of saki & fried ice cream. Every thing was super & our young waiter helped us out by recommending the red snapper which was a special & not on the menu. We will definitely be going back. My only recommendation would be to have a little bit more brightness. It's so dark that you need the torch on your phone to read the menu.

The best sushi in Montreal! Tried many upscale places: nothing beats Maiko. Food is always fresh & delicious, great service ( Bruce is the best waiter ever) & trendy ambience. A must try: you won't be disappointed
Love this restaurant but unfortunately I have to give it 3 stars this time. If you are gluten intolerant or have Celiac Disease do not eat there. We were assured that they knew the protocol on how to prepare my daughter's sushi but when we were served we found tempura on her plate. The waiter told us that it must have fallen off of someone else's plate. He took her plate back & prepared a fresh plate. The new plate had wasabi on it. We were told that it was a different chef that prepared the 2nd plate. You would think that they would have communicated her illness with the second chef. Unacceptable. But regardless of our experience, if you don't have any food allergies, it is a fabulous restaurant.
My favourite sushi restaurant in Montréal! Prepared with quality fresh ingredients & served with flare. Great service & ambiance. That's why we keep going back.
Fresh ingredients & amazing presentation. The best sushi in town. Service is always nice. Always delicious & Katsu chicken for the kids is great. Our favourite is the Kagi Aghi - to die for!
Best sushi restaurant in Montreal. Menu is creative & the food is always fresh & delicious. My family & I have been riding here for many years on a weekly basis.
Food was outstanding, fresh, tasty, great presentation.
The service however fell really short, the waiters were indifferent ,non-communicative, slow. No connection with their patrons, did not suggest any specials or recommendations, barely said hello or good bye. Clearly work needs to be done in the front-end of the business.
We went to Maiko on a Saturday evening & the food was fantastic. Our choices were fresh, the flavours exciting, service was impeccable & visually stunning. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was the fact that it was as noisy as a high school cafeteria. We will definitely go back, although maybe not on such a busy night.
