Maïko Sushi in Dollard-des-Ormeaux specializes in various sushi, it also offers salmon, calamari, filet mignon, chicken, Japanese soups with an egg base, and seaweed salad to name a few. Seated in a dining room emphasising blue tones and glass-encased lighting, novices and amateurs alike will love the delicacies of Maiki Sushi's oriental cuisine. Maïko Sushi's sushi bar is a big hit with diners who are partial to those multicoloured rolls. Small private rooms featuring traditional tatami mats, can also be reserved by groups of 6 to 10.
Maiko Sushi emerges as a standout sushi destination with consistently fresh fish, beautiful presentation, and a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. Guests praise the chef's artistry and a range of memorable creations, with signature rolls and the omakase earning top marks for flavor and craft. The service is described as warm, professional, and attentive, contributing to a dining experience that feels special even when the restaurant is busy. Reservations are often advised to secure a table, as the place tends to fill up, and the ambiance with high ceilings and elegant decor enhances the meal. While a few notes mention occasional long waits, louder music, and a higher price point, the overall impression of Maiko Sushi is a premier sushi experience with reliable quality, generous portions, and consistent excellence that keeps diners returning.
Maiko is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always amazing. I took off one star because at last night's dinner, we ordered the Omakase for 2. It should have 4 services. We were given a big platter of maki & sashimi & then the bill. On the bill it said "evantail 2" which is the platter for 2. It wasn't what we ordered. It was delicious & we've ordered the platter before. But we really wanted to try the Omakase this time. Our reservation was on the late side 8:30pm & we can understand if they couldn't give us the omakase due to time constraints, but we were never told that. Or maybe the waiter just punched in our order wrong. I don't know. Food was still amazing, just a bummer because we didn't get what we ordered.
Maiko is my favorite restaurant for very good reason. Hygiene, quality, ambiance, bathrooms, decor, professionalism, taste, presentation, speed, price, options are the most important & what makes a successful restaurant. All 5/5! Never disappoints!
Maïko is a longtime favorite of ours. Great food – every single thing on the menu is AMAZING – great atmosphere & service is always friendly & great. Thanks again for a lovely evening!

Amazing place! One of my favorites that I go to very often. Unfortunately, I went this past Saturday & I waited 2 hours for my sushi... the only thing that is disappointing.
I have been going to Maiko for years -- it's been my favorite Sushi restaurant. However, last night was disappointing : the server messed up my order, the rice in the rolls was over-cooked, & my "Paradis vegetarian" rolls did not have sweet potatoes like usual, are were stuff with carrots... Hopefully, this was an anomaly things will be back to normal next time!
One of my favorite restaurants on the West Island, not only for it's great quality in Sushi but also for the fantastic ambiance. I've never been disappointed!
Outstanding Japanese restaurant. Very sad that the Outremont restaurant we loved is closed. We now trek to the West Island to enjoy our favorite treat. Food decor & service 10/10. Thank you madame Maiko.
