What a fantastic experience. They catered my mother's 80th & they went above & beyond in both quality & quantity. Bren happily eating the leftovers for a week & the guests both young & younger loved the food. Jan was quick to respond & very accommodating. Food was incredibly fresh & flavoured beautifully. We planned our daughter's first birthday party at Lylac. We were a large group of 60 adults & 20 children. The owner, Jan, was so patient & accommodating with us throughout the process. we visited Lylac for iftar with friends, the experience was so so. We stood at the entrance for a while with no greeting, I have to go to the bar where the waiters stood like the Backstreet Boys...to finally get their attention Not exactly the warm welcome you'd expect...
we took e iftar set but it wasn't great. The staff seemed stressed & not very accommodating. Maybe some are part-timers brought for Ramadan rush, so we'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
Overall, the place felt tense, & the hospitality just wasn't there. Hope they improve because good service makes all the difference.View more
