Restaurant Lyla is a hidden gem for authentic Vietnamese cuisine! We ordered a feast & every dish was a hit - from the savory rice cakes to the amazing Pho, & refreshing smoothies. The flavors were on point, portions were generous & the cozy welcoming vibe made it feel like home. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious, heartfelt Vietnamese food.View more

First time trying, drove all the way from NDG. Worth the drive! Place is clean, the atmosphere is nice & the service was amazing. Pho is delicious!!! The combo dinner plate comes with ice cream which is new to me. Prices aren't too bad either! Will definitely come back & try other itemsView more
food is fire, love that the supper special comes with a lil mini pho, & they got videos of various beautiful coastal locations playing on the tv. habibi, forget dubai, come to lyla.View more
Amazing food, chicken wings were the best very juicy & crispy. The pho was very delicious , fresh meat. Just need to improve on the service. The waiters don't come check on the table they don't give you side plates, we ordered chicken wings to share between 2 people they just brought it on the table & left .View more
I've been going here for YEARS with my dad & it's a 11/10 every single time. The grilled chicken pho brought us here initially but everything is sooooo good, done so well & you're always so well received even on busier nights.View more
This place is great. Fast efficient & polite service made my lunch break. I ordered their most popular Pho soup & it was delicious & full of flavour 😋 Perfect for a cold day. I'll definitely come back soon. It was hard to find parking around since it was a snow clearing day but I found one on a street close by. It is also a BYOW. ThanksView more
We started to go this place 10 years ago. It became one of our "go to" vietnamese restaurant. Pho was delicious, BYOB. However, since we moved to the Southshore, we completely forgot about this restaurant. Recently we passed by, same owner, same staffs, food was still delicious & price is very reasonable! Thank you! Highly recommended!View more
What a gem of a pho place, the staff there are genuinely the nicest people. Food is amazing & low priced, a miracle. The times I have gone it's almost never busy which I don't understand, such a good place to eat with friends.View more

I was looking for a BYOW then i found this vietnamese restaurant. The interior is really nice & the staff are welcoming. I tried their papaya salad as an entree, it was tasty & refreshing. As a main dish I choose the vietnamese rice pankaces served with grill pork, delicious it was. My friend opted for the traditionnal "pho" she said it was great. I would recommend this place for anyone since its really affordable, plus you can bring your own wine or beer.
I had walked by Lyla numerous times before & noticed the BYOW sign. The place was usually near empty. On this Sunday evening, my party of three decided to give it a try. To my surprise, the place was packed.
What looks like one more run of the mill Vietnamese eatery is pretty much that - on the food front, at least. The menu is standard (with a larger than usual selection of Pho) & the presentation lacklustre. The ingredients - chicken, shrimp, etc. - are of industrial quality. Fortunately, the prices are in line - so this is not an expensive restaurant, & of course, you can bring your own wine or beer.
Lyla does however excel at service - the staff being numerous & prompt. Decor is a mix of pretentious architectural features (an expensive scalloped ceiling), accompanied by tables & booths requiring refurbishing & lighting bright enough for a Costco warehouse. Clearly, someone changed their minds along the way.
Lyla is fine for a quick inexpensive no-frills weeknight dinner. Just don't bring a date or a birthday party you want to impress.
