Food was mediocre at best. Bread brought to us was stale & cold. Salad bar was not a draw with all the flu & viruses around. Basically it's just a tourist grade restaurant.Voir plus

This is an awesome location in Old Montreal! Our waitress was friendly & helpful. The food is solid, & there are several vegetarian options. Bottles of wine are reasonably priced, & the salad bar is a unique feature! The lighting, decor, & music are all thoughtfully designed & create a beautiful setting. Our party of five walked in ~5PM & was seated immediately without a reservation. There was a line on our way out, so larger groups may benefit from making a reservation.Voir plus

Nous avons visité L'Usine du Spaghetti à Montréal en famille (deux adultes, deux enfants). Malheureusement, notre expérience a été plutôt décevante. Mon mari a choisi une des assiettes du jour, la joue de boeuf. Le goût était bon, mais la pièce de viande était froide. J'ai pris le spaghetti à la sauce tomate : la sauce était savoureuse, mais les pâtes manquaient de sel, rendant le plat très fade. De plus, les spaghettis n'étaient pas des pâtes fraîches, mais des pâtes standard qu'on trouve en grande surface. Mes enfants ont pris le spaghetti à la sauce bolognaise. La sauce contenait beaucoup trop d'origan séché, ce qui en masquait le goût & n'a pas plu à mes enfants. C'est pourtant un plat qu'ils aiment habituellement & qui est assez standard. Côté dessert, ils étaient bons, mais cela ne suffit pas pour compenser notre déception globale. Pour un restaurant portant le nom "L'Usine du Spaghetti", nous nous attendions à une meilleure maîtrise des sauces & des pâtes.Voir plus

C'est mon restau où je vais manger à chaque fois que je vais dans le Vieux-Port! Belle ambiance, service impeccable à chaque visite, plat chaud & délicieux. Je le fais découvrir à tous mes amis, même chose pour mes filles qui y sont habituées depuis leur tendre enfance. De plus, très abordable.Voir plus

Pasta dishes were good & the portions were healthy & generous. I had the lamb chops that were seasoned perfectly with a touch of sweetness. The pesto pasta that accompanied it was VERY garlicky so be forewarned. My husband had the special pasta of the evening which was a sausage & rapini orecchiette & my mother in law & daughter shared spaghetti with 2 generous sized meatballs that they bot enjoyed. If you're looking for a place with a nice atmosphere & decent Italian food, this spot at the old port is worth checking out. The vibe inside is great-warm & inviting. They have a small salad buffet included with the main meal, & they also offer bread & butter. A slight downside was the butter being too frozen, making it difficult to spread. We tried the dish number 18 & the number 12. Both were good-nothing that really blew us away, but still enjoyable. What really makes this place stand out is the location. It's right in the heart of the Old Port, which is such a fun area to explore. I'd recommend wandering around the old streets, soaking in the scenery, & then stopping here for a meal. It's more about the overall experience than just the food alone, & for that, I'd say it's worth a visit.Voir plus

Our hostess was incredibly attentive & welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The service throughout the meal was impeccable, deserving another 5 stars. However, the food itself, while decent, didn't quite live up to the enchanting atmosphere or the excellent service. We'd give the dishes a 3 out of 5. While the portions were generous & the ingredients fresh, the flavors lacked a certain depth & complexity. Overall, L'Usine de Spaghetti provides a memorable dining experience thanks to its unique ambiance & outstanding service. The lobster linguini & lamb chops spaghetti are worth trying! The lamb chops are tender, though its spaghetti is just okay. They also offer a free salad bar, & the complimentary bread comes in two types, a classic baguette & a flavorful onion-garlic option, both are good. Right in the heart of Old Montreal, next to Place Jacques Cartier. Food was very good & reasonably priced. Service is quick & friendly. Lots of choices for pasta dishes & includes an AYCE salad bar. I've been back a few times now & the food is consistently good. No reservations possible.Voir plus
