During my visit to Montreal, I unexpectedly came across Lulu's Pasta Bar, & I am so happy I did. Some of the best travel memories come from places you discover by chance, & this was definitely one of those moments.
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Zach, who had a friendly smile & was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Since it was my first time visiting, I appreciated that he took the time to explain how the ordering process worked & helped me decide what to choose. His customer service immediately made me feel welcome.
Lulu's Pasta Bar offers a create your own pasta experience, which makes it fun because you can build a meal based on your own preferences. The first step is choosing your pasta. My daughter & I both selected the CAMPANELLE, a pasta shape that was perfect for holding onto the sauce.
Next, you choose your sauce. There are many options available, including classic choices like Tomato & Basil, along with special creations & vegan options. I chose the creamy Rose sauce, & it quickly became my favourite. It was rich, flavourful, & paired perfectly with the pasta.
The final step is adding your protein & extras. Choices include bacon, chicken, ground beef, & taco style ground beef. There are also plenty of toppings, including fresh mushrooms, caramelized onions, spinach, chopped pickles, black olives, green peas, & semi sun-dried tomatoes.
Additional toppings include Parmigiano Reggiano, cheddar cheese, feta cheese, tarragon, chili flakes, parsley, & extra sauce.
For my pasta, I chose CAMPANELLE with tomatoes, cheddar cheese, rose sauce, & hamburger. My daughter ordered the same pasta & sauce combination but chose chicken for her protein & added spinach.
We were also surprised to learn that Lulu's makes their pasta fresh using Italian flour. You can really taste the difference. The pasta had a great texture, & the combination of fresh ingredients & homemade pasta created a very authentic experience.
Another thing that stood out was the portion size. The servings are very generous, & both my daughter & I were unable to finish our lunches because there was simply more food than we could eat. The amount you receive makes Lulu's an excellent value, especially for a meal that is fresh, filling, & customized to your taste.
I also loved the way the pasta is served in a cup. It is convenient, easy to enjoy, & works perfectly for visitors exploring Montreal who want a casual meal without sacrificing quality.
Lulu's Pasta Bar was an unexpected find during my Montreal trip, but it quickly became one of my favourite food stops. Between the fresh pasta, generous portions, variety of choices, & the excellent service from Zach, this is a place I would happily return to.
If you are visiting Montreal & looking for a fresh, affordable, & customizable pasta meal, Lulu's Pasta Bar is definitely worth adding to your list.
Absolutely phenomenal experience at Lulu's Pasta Bar! The pasta was fresh, perfectly al dente, & you could really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. The atmosphere is warm & inviting, & the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. If you're a pasta lover, this place is a must-visit!

Such a hidden gem! The food is consistently delicious, & you can really tell they care about quality. The pasta is fresh, the flavors are amazing, & the service is always friendly. It's a great spot for lunch or dinner, & I recommend it to anyone who loves good Italian food.🍝🫰🏻❤?
