Lucca has become my'wishful thinking lunch cafeteria' as in... If I had enough money I would be eating here a few times every week for lunch! The team here is a big part of the reason why... both in front & behind the counter. They select fresh ingredients & produce a lot of what they sell in-house ... hello pasta & the wait staff is a bunch of several years experience regular staff (what a rare thing to find these days!!!). I have brought so many friends & associates there & realized I had not done a review for them & felt guilty about it... that's how good it is! Come in & try the specials of the day & tell me I'm wrong!
Then as a bonus, the decor is épuré & posh modern, they have a nice terrasse in the summer & their wine selection will show you some of the best Italy has to offer at a modest price considering!

A truly authentic Italian resto. I'm pretty sure my Nonna would have taken a few ideas lol.
We had some of the specials of the day, which I highly recommend trying.
I'm still baffled on how there were able to cook everything perfectly & very timely.
Service was on point, & we were even offered a complimentary glass of limoncello at the end.

Food: med, nothing special, only high note for calamari. Seafood pasta in white sauce is 7/10. Service: professional but not warm & welcoming. Cozy vibe for family.
Ristorante Lucca really delivers when it comes to Italian food. Everything we ordered was fresh & full of flavour. The service was solid , professional & friendly. I especially liked the terrace, nice ambiance without trying too hard. Also a good wine selection with options that pair well with the menu. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

Seafood linguine is well-regarded & I vouch. Muscles are the star of the show - smooth & buttery. If you judge an Italian restaurant by its olive oil, I give it an 8.5/10. Red sauce in my appetizer was nice. Calamari was very good.
The grilled octopus with a hint of mint on a chickpea puree was delicious. We also had the salmon tartare which was amazing. & the star of the show was the delectable lamb chops!

Cette soirée décevante est-elle un accident isolé ou est-elle représentative de ce que le restaurant est devenu? Nous ne le saurons jamais, mais nous n'avions jamais imaginé lors de nos visites précédentes à ce qui était notre restaurant italien chouchou à Montréal que l'équipe en salle & la brigade en cuisine pouvaient être aussi peu en forme. Triste!
'Mon expérience au Ristorante Lucca a été exceptionnelle. Dès mon arrivée, l'accueil chaleureux & la décoration raffinée m'ont immédiatement plongé dans une ambiance authentiquement italienne. Chaque plat que j'ai dégusté, des pâtes fraîches aux fruits de mer aux entrées savoureuses comme les calmars frits, témoignait d'une passion pour la cuisine de qualité & d'un savoir-faire remarquable. Le service attentionné & professionnel a ajouté une touche supplémentaire à cette expérience déjà mémorable. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant à tous ceux qui souhaitent découvrir le meilleur de la cuisine italienne en plein coeur de la Petite Italie à Montréal.'
