L'Oeufrier establishes a distinct culinary presence through a menu centered on creative egg preparations and varied breakfast compositions. The signature style incorporates an extensive array of crêpes, ranging from traditional sweet fillings to savory combinations, alongside hearty burger options that emphasize substantial protein portions. Culinary execution prioritizes generous plate presentation, characterized by the frequent integration of fresh fruit, decadent sauces, and custom potato pairings. The environment features a bright and functional aesthetic, prioritizing efficient service flows that accommodate high-volume guest traffic throughout the day. Patrons encounter a specialized focus on breakfast-inspired gastronomy that avoids standard limitations, opting instead for complex ingredient pairings. This location maintains the established brand identity defined by its multifaceted menu architecture and consistent preparation methods applied across its entire network of establishments.
L'Oeufrier is widely regarded as a reliable and welcoming breakfast destination, frequently praised for its extensive menu, generous portion sizes, and consistent food quality. Many visitors highlight the friendly, community-focused service that makes the atmosphere feel vibrant and inclusive, even during busy periods. While the restaurant is often celebrated as a neighborhood staple that balances indulgent comfort food with a warm vibe, some guests have noted challenges regarding the compact layout, which can lead to high noise levels and occasional delays during peak hours. Although experiences with service and food preparation can vary occasionally, the majority of patrons appreciate the creative menu options and the overall value, often returning for the reliable and satisfying brunch experience.
The plate was full with plenty of options to choose from. Unfortunately, the food was a bit cold(especially fried potatoes), & the fruit looked like it had been cut days earlier & wasn't very fresh. On the bright side, the atmosphere was pleasant & made for an enjoyable setting.
Confused by the positive reviews for this place. It was the worst food & service I've ever received at a breakfast place. Took 15 minutes for the server to come take my order when the place did not appear to be that busy. I ordered a breakfast poutine & a coffee. The potatoes were way under cooked which was an impressive feat because they were thinly sliced so they should cook very quickly. I ordered my eggs scrambled & they came in the form of an omlette instead. One of the listed ingredients of the poutine came in a prepackaged container on the side of the plate. I could only stomach a few bites. Probably the only time I've ever left food on my plate at a restaurant because I can usually eat anything & everything. Despite advertising the coffee as unlimited, I couldn't get a server to fill my cup despite numerous attempts to get their attention. After about 10 minutes of attempts I then resorted to raising my empty cup into the air to try to get any servers attention to no avail. Interestingly after I gave up on the coffee & made the sign to get the cheque once, my server was at my table instantly with the machine to take my payment. Of course there was no final offer from the server to fill my empty coffee cup. The server did not ask me how the food was or question why I was leaving the entire plate practically untouched.
We visited over Easter weekend, when many places were closed, so we were happy to come across this spot.
Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly, which made for a pleasant first impression. However, the space felt quite tight, with what seemed like more tables than the layout comfortably allows. This appeared to make it challenging for servers to move between tables, particularly when clearing plates, delivering coffee, & processing payments.
We also noticed that our food arrived before the coffee we had ordered upon being seated, which somewhat diminished the value of the'bottomless' coffee offering.
In terms of the food, the waffles & sausages were very good, & the smoothie was enjoyable. The potatoes, however, could have benefited from additional seasoning.
Overall, it's a reasonable option when choices are limited, but the atmosphere wasn't particularly conducive to a relaxed breakfast experience. We likely wouldn't rush back on a future visit to Montreal.

The breakfast poutine at L'OEufrier was simply one of the best things I've eaten in my whole life. It was simply perfect. The potatoes, the eggs, the hollandaise sauce, the bacon, the sausage... Every single thing was perfectly prepared & made it an experience that I will remember forever.
Tasty food, perfect service. Their Parmesan truffle flavored potatoes are the best I've ever had. A little tip: the plates of food in photos are smaller than the ones to be served.
Wow, what a wonderful little breakfast place! We would definitely come again. We had two orders of eggs benedict - bacon, Swiss cheese & onions for me, & smoked meat for my partner. The staff was friendly, & the food was served hot & tasted delicious. The variety of fruit included was fantastic & fresh. The portions were quite large; neither of us could finish our potatoes (which were delicious)! I was mildly disappointed there were no tea latte options, but several tea options were offered, which was satisfactory. We definitely would come again to try more menu options if ever we are in the area again.
Saw this place during an evening walk while visiting the area & decided to go for breakfast the next morning. Good choice...the food is excellent. Even just a simple plate of eggs & ham was very good. The potatoes were different from most breakfast places, fresh & had an interesting seasoning, really nice. A bit pricey but worth it for the occasional treat. Would definitely go back! Uploaded the menu we were given, April 2024.
