I love this place. The decor is nostalgic & clean, the kitchen staff is fire, with a good array of beers on tap (Guinness too 🤟) & an appropriate wine list matched to their menu. Easily the best kitchen on Monkland.
In general, Monkland is a heaven for local businesses. This is one of those local restaurants with limited tables & its own unique menu. Their lunch & dinner menus are different.
As soon as you walk in, the nice warm ambiance & decor make you feel at home. Some customers even come in & order their usual dishes.
The quality of both the food & the service is quite good. I personally love their roast beef sandwich, but the Dijon mustard is soooo spicy 😅 - consider asking for it without the mustard.

En général, Monkland est un petit paradis pour les commerces locaux. Voici l'un de ces restaurants de quartier avec peu de tables & un menu bien à lui. Les menus du midi & du soir sont différents.
Dès qu'on entre, l'ambiance chaleureuse & le décor nous font sentir comme à la maison. Certains clients viennent même y commander leurs plats habituels.
La qualité de la nourriture & du service est très bonne. J'adore leur sandwich au rosbif, mais leur moutarde de Dijon est vraiiiiment épicée 😅 - pensez à le demander sans moutarde.
Best spot in monkland village for quick eats & tasty cocktails. Warm & cozy atmosphere. Pro tip: sit at the second or third table along the window & you'll have quick access to Trivial Pursuit (on the window sil)!

I'm honestly shocked at the treatment we received at Local 75 in Monkland Village.
We walked in with the intention of grabbing drinks & politely asked if we could use the bathroom before ordering. Instead of a simple yes or no, the manager responded by asking what we were going to use the bathroom for which felt sarcastic & completely unnecessary. It was an uncomfortable way to greet potential customers.
We then said no problem, we'd order drinks first but instead of resolving the situation, she told us to leave & kicked us out.
No explanation. No professionalism. Just instant hostility.
If that's how they treat people who are about to spend money there, I can't imagine how they handle actual issues. There are plenty of other great spots in NDG that know how to treat customers with basic respect. I won't be returning.
Candice was absolutely wonderful! Best drinks I've ever had & the most wonderful energy. The food was absolutely amazing, music is the perfect volume for a pleasant conversation & the atmosphere is divine. Will be coming back for sure! Truly a hidden gem on monkland ✨💕
A great spot on Monkland. I am jealous to leave this review knowing that even more people will go there & consequently it will be even more difficult to find a table.

The service from Candace is always above & beyond & the only thing better (if even) than her personality is the fried chicken. Every time I go I like to try different items on the menu & I have yet to find something I dislike.
My friend & I had lunch recently in Monkland Village in NDG. We were both in the mood for a burger, so we stopped at Local 75 Bistro Club for lunch. We found their menu to be extensive with lots of variety, from salads to sandwiches to choose from. We stuck to the burger section – I ordered the Big Local & my friend the Yellowstone, both of which were served with fries. They were both delicious – I don’t think I’ve had a better-tasting burger elsewhere. Our server was excellent, she was very polite, attentive & addressed us in English, which to us was a major plus. We will definitely be back – this is definitely a restaurant not to be missed!
