Bonjour, Je suis arrivée seule dans ce restaurant qui était presque vide. On m'a proposé de m'installer dans un petit coin près des toilettes, ce que j'ai poliment décliné.
Concernant le repas, j'ai été déçue : la viande de mon taco al Pastor était tellement cuite qu'il était difficile de savoir s'il s'agissait de porc ou de boeuf, & elle était très grasse. La margarita avait un goût assez étrange & les chips étaient également très grasses.
Pour une facture de 74 $ (pourboire inclus), je m'attendais à une meilleure expérience. Dommage, car j'étais enthousiaste à l'idée de découvrir cet endroit.View more

From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in a lively atmosphere perfect for a spontaneous taco night out. The energy was infectious, & we knew we were in for a treat!
We decided to start with the necessary birria tacos, our go-to gobernador tacos, & the tacos de pastor, all of which were nothing short of amazing. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, with rich, savory meat enveloped in a perfectly crafted tortilla. Their fresh & zesty toppings wowed us, radiating bold flavors.
To wash it all down, we sipped on a refreshing mezcalita, which did its job wonderfully after what seemed like the longest week ever. Its smoky notes & vibrant citrus made for an ideal pairing with the rich tacos.
Our experience was nothing short of spectacular-everything we tried was incredibly filling, yet we managed to enjoy every last bite. From the moment you walk in, L'Estancia charms you with its lively, joyful aesthetic. Think bold murals, playful visuals, & a kaleidoscope of color that practically begs to be photographed. The lighting is flattering, the art is fun, & the playlist adds energy without overpowering conversation. It's the kind of space that instantly lifts your mood-ideal for catching up with friends or snapping a brunch selfie (or three).

Food & Drink
I went with the El Chechito ($21.45), a well-composed plate that included:
• Two perfectly cooked eggs
• Crispy bacon
• A half mollete (an open-faced Mexican sandwich) layered with beans & fresh pico de gallo, served on bread that hit the sweet spot: crispy outside, soft inside
• Seasoned breakfast potatoes
• A red fruit crêpe to satisfy that sweet brunch craving
Every element played its part, but the mollete was the real MVP-warm, comforting, & packed with flavor & texture. The fruit crêpe was a lovely contrast, adding a light, tangy-sweet finish to the meal. I especially appreciated the use of fresh berries & whipped cream instead of the overdone banana combo you see everywhere else.
To drink, I had a Cosmopolitan ($13), which was bright, balanced, & not overly sweet-surprisingly perfect with brunch. My aunt ordered an espresso martini made with rum, which gave the classic a smooth, tropical spin she couldn't stop raving about.

The service was a strong point-warm, attentive, & genuinely welcoming. Staff knew the menu well & were quick to offer helpful suggestions. Food & drinks came out at just the right pace, giving us time to relax & enjoy without feeling rushed.

L'Estancia isn't just a place to eat-it's a vibe. Whether you're out for a brunch date, reconnecting with friends, or flying solo & treating yourself, this spot delivers an experience that's both flavorful & fun. With its New Mexican twist, thoughtful menu, & ultra-Instagrammable decor, it's easily one of the more memorable brunches in Montreal.

I absolutely love Mexican food, was delighted to add yet another new Mexican restaurant to my list. This place has the best portions I have ever seen at a Mexican restaurant. My friends birria tacos were huge. When I saw them I said'if that's how big the tacos are, I wonder how big my burrito will be!' - It was massive!! So generous with the ingredients too. Some places will cheaply fill out the burrito with rice/beans- not this place! Plenty of meat & globs of cheese. I didn't come to drink, but they could improve the cocktail menu with a couple more house-signature cocktails. Service was great here, the young man serving us was truly polite. Prices are pretty reasonable here too, especially considering the huge portions. I hope this place stays for years to come, looking forward to returning after I cross off a few more Mexican restaurants I got left on my list.View more
