Friendly and always busy, this neighborhood gem has two addresses with a tasty and comforting menu, cooked with care by its owners Francine Brûlé and Serge Bruneau who receive each customer like at home. Booked for a brunch from 12 - 1 for 3 individuals for a birthday. We were a little late to arrive, at about 12:07. On arrival, the waitress said she had a great table for us but it had to be cleaned. The terrace was about half full but we wanted to be sat indoors. We had to wait 10 minutes for the table to be cleaned up, although half the restaurant was empty. Once we were seated, our waiter asked us if we wanted still or sparkling water (we opted for still) but once he left, he didn't return; another waiter (I assume the Maître d'Hote or floor manager) served us water & apologized for the wait, which was appreciated! When our original waiter returned, he took our drink & food orders. After leaving our table, it took quite another while before we had our drinks... When we got our cocktails, it was already about 12:40, & our food got to us at about 12:58pm. Seeing as I was on a lunch break, I asked the waiter to pay my bill so I could eat & leave as quickly as possible, & even paying took another 8 - 10 minutes before he returned with the mobile cash. All in all, the food was excellent & the location's really beautiful, wide & luminous but the service was pretty exceptionally slow. It didn't seem to be a staffing issue & the restaurant wasn't so overwhelmed... Regardless, I'll most likely be back but on a day where I have time to spare!View more

I hate playing the race card... But i had reservations, we were 4 people all of african descent... Upon arrival no one greeted us...we waited in the lobby for like 20 minutes before i asked to be seated... They put all 4 of us at a small table we asked for a bigger table... They didnt have one... We asked to be seated by the terrace & they said it was closed, but we clearly seen like 4 groups of people out there & empty tables... Emoty tables that were better suited for a group of 4.... They apologised & said they couldnt put us there... Coolbeans... Didnt complain.... We waited about 1 hour for a server to come take our order another hour to get the food... They didnt come fill our water while we ate the staff just talked amongst eachother & i had to put my hand up like im in elementary school to get service... Service which was given with an attitude asif it wasnt their job... The waiter was kind of snooty & rude .... It was my first time there & i probably wont go back just due to the staff.... Theyre rude & snooty... The food was great & the atmosphere was great.... But I can't help but say the staff that day was a bit prejudiced... I noticed the other african based people in the restaurant got the same delayed service as my group of people...View more
