A friend & I recently had lunch at Les Enfants Terribles at the "Solar Uniquartier" in Brossard, Quebec & I was frankly underwhelmed by the experience. I have eaten at two other Enfants Terribles restaurants in Montreal, one on the top of Place Ville Marie & the second in Quartier 10/30. My recollection is that they were above-average restaurants, even by Montreal standards. The first strike in my recent visit to the third Enfants Terribles was the menu. There didn't appear to be a consistent theme, although the majority of selections would indicate a French kitchen. The real outlier for me was "Mac & Cheese" as a pasta choice, versus "artisanal lamb gnocchi". Having "Mac & Cheese" on the menu devalued the whole restaurant & dining experience for me - they might as well have written "Kraft dinner" on the menu I know that "Mac & Cheese" is now a mainstream menu item in some restaurants, but I cannot understand how this would appear on the menu at Les Enfants Terribles. Strike two was presentation. For a restaurant, "presentation is everything". After we were seated, I noticed that the water glasses were ale or pilsner glasses, straight bodies with a wide mouth to accommodate a beer head - very unattractive & inappropriate in my opinion for water glasses. Secondly, the napkins were cloth, badly folded, & had a gingham design which did not relate to anything I could see. A white paper folded napkin would have been a marked improvement. In addition, the table came with a small candle, like a small white "emergency" candle, which in our case had been used & was opaque & waxy. Do we really need candles at the table for lunch? Lastly, there was no salt or pepper or anything else on the table. I had to ask for them from the waitress, which should never happen. We weren't served bread or even offered bread. Strike three was the cost of the food. We ordered fried calamari for two as a starter which were good, but the portion was miserly for $ 19.00. My friend ordered the salmon tartare & I the steak frites. Both dishes were good but the salmon was not accompanied by enough corn chips, which we had to ask for. There was no salt or pepper on the table when I was served my steak - again unacceptable. Each of these main entrees came in at about $34.00 - $35.00 each, which I consider steep. Lunch for two, including two beer to start, shared calamari, two entrees & two coffees, came in at $ 165.00 Cdn., including a 15% tip & taxes. We all know that the price of food has increased as has inflation, but we did not receive good value or a memorable experience for the $ 165.00 expenditure. I will give good marks for the table service but the other issues I've mentioned will make me pass on a return visit to les Enfants Terribles. This was disappointing for me because les Enfants Terribles was always one of my favourite go-to places in Montreal.
Service was bad & took forever for the food (not a busy night). Had to chase the waiter for menus & highchairs at the begginning, then for salt when the food was here. Towards the end, I had a fork in my hand & the waiter asked if I was done with my food lol.

J'aimerais partager mon expérience afin d'apportez certains changements & améliorations à ce restaurant. nous avions réservé une table pour un souper d'anniversaire pour mes amies & moi. L'ambiance était agréable, le service plutôt lent mais nous étions un samedi soir & malheureusement mon repas était très décevant. J'ai commandé la Guédille aux fruits de mer & j'ai reçu un petit pain froid qui contenait quelques mini crevettes & beaucoup de salade. J'étais très déçu au niveau qualité/prix.
Je suis vraiment déçu du service, les serveurs ont un attitude vraiment désagréable, & ça pris 2h 30 pour avoir la nourriture, en plus ils se sont trompé avec mon assiette & jai dû attendre 20 minutes de plus pour avoir ce que j'avais commandé. Je recommande pas le restaurant & si vous voulez une bonne service allez à vertigo juste à côté
Pour mon groupe de 20. Expérience #1 fois VillleMarie mars 2023 c'était soso, service très long. & chance #2 Brossard mars 2024. Groupe de 20 personnes. 16 mars 2024 18:00 Menu choix à 64$. Menu limité pour les groupes. La critique qui revient tout les temps. Un peut cher pour ce qu'on a reçu. (Option végétarien pratiquement inexistant. Choix de 1 plat....) En groupe il aura pas de 3ème fois.
Nous étions un peu sceptiques à la lecture de certains avis mais notre expérience a été super ! L'entrée de Labneh aux olives était délicieuse ! Le menu offre plusieurs choix variés pour tous les goûts. Nous avons apprécié la variété des mocktails offerts (de vrais mélanges & non seulement du jus...) L'ambiance était très agréable, feutrée. Le pouding chômeur était incroyable!
Perso, je comprends pas les mauvaises reviews. J'ai checké le menu avant d'arriver au resto, la bouffe qui était sur le menu était exactement ce que j'ai eu, bien apprêtée, rapidement & servie chaleureusement. Est-ce que c'était coûteux? Oui, mais pas hors de ce monde. Je recommende.

Superbe restaurant avec très beau décor, mai la nourriture laisse à désirer malheureusement. Frites froide & viande de cheeseburger carboniser. Groupe de 6 nous avons eu 5 assiettes sur 6 en même temps. Je ne retournerai pas.
Le resto est magnifique, l'ambiance l'est tout autant. Cela dit, le service a été long. La personne responsable de notre table semblait préférer jaser avec ses collègues au bar que prendre notre commande. Question nourritute, le mac & cheese était décevant, peu gouteux & fade. Toutefois, je crois comprendre que la viande est plutot leur spécialité alors le tartare & le carpaccio était super.
Ms première fois était sur la coche. Cote levée de bison, goût & cuisson #1 je recommande, service impeccable & presque personnalisé. 2 fois, bavette de boeuf, repas que même une pizzeria pourrait réussir tellement ses rendus populaires. Bref trop cuit ,goût de brûler, frites très ordinaire, sauce qui ne correspond pas avec la bavette. Pour le prix & l'ensemble désolé mais vous n'êtes pas à la hauteur. Juste pour terminer, j'ai mangé la veille chez votre voisin sans le nommer & tous était parfait. Je crois vous pouvez faire beaucoup mieux vous me l'avez prouvé à ma première visite .
Lors de ma récente visite aux Enfants Terribles, j'ai été immédiatement séduit par l'ambiance exceptionnellement calme & accueillante du lieu, idéale pour une soirée détendue. La qualité de la nourriture a grandement contribué à cette expérience mémorable, avec des plats savoureux & bien présentés qui ont ravi mes papilles. Cependant, il est important de noter que le service, bien que très aimable, était un peu long. Cela dit, la qualité de la cuisine & l'atmosphère paisible compensent largement cette petite attente. Je recommande vivement Les Enfants Terribles à ceux qui cherchent un repas délicieux dans un cadre serein.
Food is expensive for the quality & quantity. If you want to keep up with the competition nearby, you better work on both. I am not saying it was bad but I won't be returning there.
Souper de famille Les assiettes entrées pas servi en même temps. 10-15 mins intervalles Entrées ordinaires & sec Repas portions réduites pour le prix.. Serveuse qui jase avec d'autres employés pendant qu'on attend. Sérieusement à éviter !!!
