The restaurant is in a great location down a pedestrian walkway. The decor is really cool & the restaurant is much bigger than it appears from the outside.View more
We accidentally showed up about 20 minutes before closing, but Michael let us know he'd seat us in the best spot if we came back the following day with a reservation; oh boy, he did not lie! We came back the next day & Michael sat us down at THE best table in the restaurant. The food was fabulous, atmosphere even better, service unbeatable; the whole time we were treated like family. For food, we ended up getting French onion soup to start, a salmon dish & the cassoulet as our entrees, amaretto sour & espresso martini to drink, & finally the crème brûlée as dessert. I can't recommend each dish enough! Between each bite you take, the delicate flavors come through in slightly different way. Even something as """simple""" as the beans in the cassoulet had such a vibrant story to tell through the meal, & I was listening to every second of it! If you're exploring Montreal, make a reservation right now- you won't regret it! To Michael, if you ever find yourself in NYC, hit us up! We'll try our best to make you feel as home as you made us!View more

Such a quaint & lovely spot for a romantic dinner. Fantastic atmosphere for a date night, definitely. Food was delicious & very well seasoned. & the French onion soup was the perfect starter. Staff was delightfully charming & knowledgeable. Ask for a suggestion for the wine pairing & you won't be disappointed! Went above & beyond to make our night spectacular. Will definitely go again & would absolutely recommend to anyone!View more
Bland food, tiny portions. Beef Bourguignon & mashed potatoes were room temperature at best, if not cold. Bread was stale. My partner's pasta had no specific flavor & was but warm either. Service was ok. Cute place. Not toilet paper in the men's washroom. I'm really puzzled by all the positive reviews.View more

Michael & the rest of the team made our family NYE dinner really special & fun! The service was spectacular & the food was excellent, especially the cassoulet & boeuf bourguignon. Will definitely be back!
Visited on Christmas while traveling. The staff was very friendly, but seemed stretched a bit thin. All of the food we had was great, it just took a while to get it. The main hostess/owner? Apologized several times for long waits on things, & made our cocktails extra strong to make up for it 😂 The only real complaint was that the bread didn't come with the soups, we had to ask for it & had finished our soup by the time it arrived.View more
What a pleasant experience. The service was attentive & friendly, the food delicious. Apparently they're a little quieter in the winter because of their location in Prince Arthur, but they're well worth remembering. We will be back!
Ordered beef tartare & duck confit, one of the best duck confit I ever had. The seasonal soup was butternuts squash soup very tasty!View more
A Classical French Bistro tucked inside of Montreal. Been there a few times since 2014. Reminds me of Bordeaux, & ParisView more
My wife & I ate at Les Deux Gamins for a special occasion. The waitress & owner took a special interest in us with conversation but were not intrusive at all. The entrees & meals were really excellent. Overall, a great experience. One critical comment. The French onion soup was delicious but it was very heavy on the cheese (hard to cut into) & their was very little broth. The broth was really sensational but most of it was soaked up in the bread. I would suggest that they go lighter on the cheese & provide more of the onion broth.
We came as a group, so it may be different from 2-4ppl experience. The menu has great variety & reasonable pricing. The onion soup is definitely one of the best I have had in Mtl. We share some appetizers & they were all delicious. My main course was Duck confit & it is also one of the best I have, the skin is crispy, so good! The common challenge nowadays is short staff, so we were not given bread, some drinks came later because waitress forgot, I heard some of my friends who ordered hanger steak, it was cold. There was also some confusion over billing but resolved after. Also maybe because the building is older, there was a draft of cold air in the restaurant, so dress warm is my suggestion. I think they tried their best for a group.View more
